An exciting opportunity exists to lead a highly committed patient-centred team in a progressive and well-regarded health-care organisation in Geelong. You will be responsible for providing strong leadership vision and direction, and highly effective operational management of the clinical services at Epworth Geelong. As a member of the Epworth Geelong's Executive Team, you will be instrumental in setting the operational direction for the site with executive colleagues and required to liaise with other Epworth HealthCare hospitals in relation to issues of site and clinical governance, risk management, business development and business continuity.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, the role is also professionally accountable to the group Executive Director of Clinical Services to assist in implementing the group-wide strategic nursing and related clinical initiatives.

You will make an impact by:

• Articulating, communicating and implementing Epworth’s clinical standards and engaging the workforce in achieving the best possible clinical outcomes
• Ensuring all staff have a primary focus on excellence in customer service and high quality and safe patient care at all times
• Reviewing nursing, midwifery and clinical education programs to ensure alignment with operational requirements
• Leading, developing and implementing nursing and clinical recruitment, retention and workforce plans to meet current and future needs
• Achieving fiscal and operational KPI’s for relevant cost centre
• Driving key organisational initiatives and goals to improve the outcome for patients, doctors and staff of the hospital

Success in this role

You are an engaging and experienced nursing leader, with strong interpersonal skills that enable you to easily influence, build relationships and earn the trust and respect of your team, your colleagues and the medical workforce.  Passionate about patient centred care, you put the patient and their families at the heart of everything you do and have a proven track record in achieving excellence in clinical services provision.  You have a can-do attitude and a solutions focused approach and can bring people on the change journey.

You will have

• Current unrestricted nursing AHPRA registration
• Post-graduate qualifications in leadership or management
• Previous experience in a similar senior role.
• Contemporary knowledge of clinical service trends and have a good track record of meeting KPIs including key labour management targets and workforce planning

This position is for an inserter machine operator to run an inserting machine and high-speed inkjet printing machine within our mail house operations. This position is for the afternoon shift, additional hours will be required during seasonal peak periods each quarter throughout the year including some weekend work.

About You:

• Experience in running an inserting machine is preferable but not critical as on the job training will be offered
• Previous experience in the printing industry or experience in a mail house environment and having an understanding of the mail lodgement process would be an advantage
• You will be a mechanically minded individual with excellent problem-solving skills
• We welcome fresh graduates eager to start their career
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
• Must be legally authorized to work in Australia
