About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Operations Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of fund operations and investment processes. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of duties including fund operations management, financial reporting support, and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders. Responsibility

• Take ownership of daily fund operations and investment activities, including managing new investor unit registry, subscriptions, distributions, redemptions, and investor records using our established system.
• Perform basic fund-level bookkeeping monthly to support NAV and IAS reporting.
• Assist in the financial year-end process for FATCA/CRS reporting, AIIR, Tax Statements, etc.
• Cultivate positive relationships with external service providers such as custodians, investment counterparties, and bankers.
• Assist in due diligence on underlying investments, primarily fixed-income securities like public bonds, private credits, and short-term securities.
• Analyze investment performance and broad market data to provide insights for reporting and decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports, charts, and registers to support record-keeping and decision-making.

• Tertiary degree in finance, accounting, business analytics, or related fields.
• Exceptional attention to detail in numerical data processing.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel; basic knowledge of Python coding.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles; experience with XERO accounting software.
• High proficiency in English and Mandarin languages.
• Prior knowledge or internship experience in fund or investment operations.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Maintains confidentiality while handling day-to-day tasks.

The Role

We are looking for a L2 IT Systems Engineer with at least 2 years' experience providing Level 2 support who is ready to take their technical skills and client-focus to the next level by joining our growing Support Engineering team. You understand the value and importance of IT to an organisation and can demonstrate the ability to analyse complex challenges to identify and implement a solution. Your role will be to lead the finance function and become a key individual in a growing business, offering support to the local team as well as Group department heads. The role would suit a qualified accountant who has experience in an industry role.  

This job is located in our offices in Sydney, Australia. It is anticipated that after a short period of training, the role can be completed with a mix of office-based and homeworking. Full time or part time candidates will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

·  Preparation of monthly management accounts including reconciliation of all control accounts

·  Monthly upload to group operational P&L software

·  Process the weekly/monthly operating statements including revenue deferral calculations

·  Monthly reconciliation of inter-company P&L charges and quarterly reconciliation of inter-company P&L charges and balances

·  Monthly cash reporting

·  Quarterly upload of full management accounts onto Group Consolidation software and completion of supporting schedules

·  Preparation of the annual budget and forecast exercises

·  Assist with the preparation of Australian statutory and tax compliance filings (in liaison with external advisers)

·  Supervise working capital cycles and requirements including payment runs & loan repayments

·  Lead the Australian finance function and offer support to the Office Manager with transactional queries

• Provide personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
• Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.

• Check residents daily menu requirements.

• Relevant Certificate III Qualification.

Desirable:

• Experience in residential aged care.
