About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Operations Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of fund operations and investment processes. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of duties including fund operations management, financial reporting support, and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders. Responsibility
- Take ownership of daily fund operations and investment activities, including managing new investor unit registry, subscriptions, distributions, redemptions, and investor records using our established system.
- Perform basic fund-level bookkeeping monthly to support NAV and IAS reporting.
- Assist in the financial year-end process for FATCA/CRS reporting, AIIR, Tax Statements, etc.
- Cultivate positive relationships with external service providers such as custodians, investment counterparties, and bankers.
- Assist in due diligence on underlying investments, primarily fixed-income securities like public bonds, private credits, and short-term securities.
- Analyze investment performance and broad market data to provide insights for reporting and decision-making.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, charts, and registers to support record-keeping and decision-making.
- Tertiary degree in finance, accounting, business analytics, or related fields.
- Exceptional attention to detail in numerical data processing.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel; basic knowledge of Python coding.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles; experience with XERO accounting software.
- High proficiency in English and Mandarin languages.
- Prior knowledge or internship experience in fund or investment operations.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Maintains confidentiality while handling day-to-day tasks.
