About Us
Our ELS workshop is part of the Environmental, Conservation and Agriculture team and works closely with the members of this team.
By being the focal point for the management of the multipurpose workshop facility we can support the wider University. Our workshop is small but is well equipped with a wide range of workshop equipment that can complete some unique tasks.
The Role
As the Workshop Technician at Murdoch University, you will manage all aspects regarding the overseeing, running, delivery and function of the multifunctional workshop space. Primarily you will be responsible for servicing client requests and managing the workshop space.
Your key duties –
Manage and perform all aspects relating to the ELS workshop facility.
Develop or source induction material suitable for the equipment and abilities of client.
Induct and train clients on low-risk workshop equipment.
Order and maintain the inventory of the workshop items and supplies.
What you’ll bring to this role
Technical certification in a relevant field.
3 years of experience within the workshop environment.
Problem solving skills and design application.
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Current C class driver licence.
