The Grounds and Jetty Hands are responsible for providing vessel support to the on-water teams and, the day-to-day operations and organisation of the Northport and B Shed, Fremantle grounds and jetties.

There are multiple positions available both seasonal (from September 2024 to April 2025), and ongoing.

As a Grounds Hand, you are the 'face' of Rottnest Express and first point of contact for most customers, your role is key to ensuring a positive experience for our guests, and involves:

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the loading and unloading of bicycles and luggage onto and off of the vessels
• Delivering on shore vessel support through jetty setup, guest queue management and vessel berthing/departure procedures
• Assisting guests with their luggage, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their safety and comfort
• Coordination of bike fleet, ensuring adequate numbers are available to suit operational requirements
• Ensuring bikes and special equipment are loaded on each vessel as per bookings and operational requirements
• Providing support to on-water team and overall operation to ensure operations schedules and objectives are met   
• Adhering to REX operational safety and marine procedures and protocols

To be successful in this position you will need to:

• Be competent in Microsoft Office, Excel is desirable
• Have an eye for detail and ability to trouble shoot challenges as they arise
• Ability to work well in a busy and physically demanding environment with a positive attitude towards your team and customers
• Customer Service, focus with ability to anticipate customer needs and use initiative
• Be able to effectively communicate with all customers and team members
• Have a reliable, flexible and honest approach to work
• Willing to work a wide range of hours over a 7 day roster, including public holidays
• Drivers Licence and own transport required

This Senior DevOps Engineer role is responsible for bridging the gap between traditional infrastructure support and DevOps. What You’ll Do

As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the team’s existing cross functional capabilities by providing high level experience with a combination of open source and automation products.

You will be involved in (but not limited to):

• Developing, reviewing and implementing CI/CD principles including containerisation
• Establishing and maintaining operational excellence with automation across a number of technologies and areas, including:
• Operating System deployment, configuration, and security hardening
• Installation and configuration of application middleware platforms
• Deployment to Azure and other cloud environments
• Code deployment and platform lifecycle management
• Reporting for audit and compliance requirements

• Ensuring platform high availability is maintained through reliable operational change and release processes; maintaining and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and performance, and backup and reporting
• Stakeholder engagement through technical collaboration and solution design.

What You’ll Bring

Key Skill and experience include:

• 5+ years of combined experience in application management, development and DevOps
• A detailed understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, and experience with full stack automation including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Windows Server, Azure, M365
• Extensive knowledge and experience across the full Infrastructure Technology stack (Networks, Server, Databases, Endpoints, etc)
• Knowledge of industry standards , such as ITIL, ISO27001, Zero Trust, etc
• Expertise in configuration management including CI/CD pipelining
• Expertise in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc)
• Ability to adapt to rapid, iterative change
• Proven ability to mentor and support team members
• Ability to develop and improve operational practices and procedures
• Excellent communication skills

You will be given the ability to continually research, develop, and actively promote platform agnostic technology solutions that eliminate manual processes and solve genuine technical challenges.

We are thrilled to offer a unique chance to be part of the virtual aftercare stream. In this pivotal role, you will deliver clinical leadership, expert advice, consultation, and support to infants, children, adolescents, and their families/carers.

Your work will also involve collaboration with healthcare professionals, other providers, and agencies across the regions, all in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment primarily to community-based children and adolescents, with occasional involvement with admitted patients.
• Offer clinical governance and leadership for the Mental Health Service.
• Foster and promote a culture of person-centered, equitable, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused service delivery.

About the service:

This is a specialised mental health service dedicated to infants and children transitioning from regional health services, such as emergency departments, nursing posts, Aboriginal medical services, and remote area clinics.

Utilising audio-visual and telephone methods, team performs comprehensive assessments and offers brief interventions for children and adolescents (0-18 years), along with support for their families and carers.

The service model focuses on providing aftercare following initial presentations and while facilitating the transition to community mental health supports working closely with the seven regional services to ensure timely, responsive, and accessible care for communities.
