The Role

We are seeking an exceptional and energetic person with a strong understanding of the NDIS to play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's future, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence. As our General Manager - Operations and Growth you will have strong leadership skills, be a confident decision-maker, helping our team develop and be successful, whilst being involved in the business growth and expansion of business offerings. You will be mentored by one of Australia’s most highly regarded serial entrepreneurs and have the opportunity to work up towards an equity position. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with the team to refine strategies for business growth.

• Maintain budgets and optimise expenses.

• Create and review policies and procedures.

• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.

• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.

• Prepare regular reports for our Founder.

• Assist with business growth by building strong relationships with external stakeholders to attract new referrals for our services.

• Ensuring the business maintains a high level of compliance in alignment with the NDIS.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals. 

• Extensive experience in the NDIS and disability sector as a Lead or similar role.

• Existing, robust connections within the sector, capable of opening doors and creating new opportunities for business growth.

• Demonstrated experience in planning, setting, and managing financial budgets and financial targets.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to problem solve.
• Knowledge of business process and functions within the different areas of the business to ensure they can meet requirements of the business. 
• Capability in leading a team to deliver exceptional care to our participants.
• Successful track record of generating growth and new business by understanding the market demands.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, other government agencies and specialist support services, both internal and external.

Using your strong influencing skills, you will support your team in driving continual service improvement for our customers across our matrix organisation, championing a security first approach in everything we do. With your in-depth experience of technology services outsourcing, you will be able to represent and advocate for our solutions and offerings in support of in account and new customer growth. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be able to support our people in all situations and help them in their career development journeys.

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs. 

What you’ll bring  

• A bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of senior commercial or sales experience within a complex and multifaceted manage services environment
• Demonstrated experience managing service delivery teams within an outsourcing arrangement
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent customer relationship building and management skills
• Strong influencing and persuasive ability
• Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
• Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers and the company
• Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties
• Ability to build and lead an effective and high performing team
• Detailed understanding of service management methodologies and processes including the ITIL framework
