About the position:
The Works General Hand undertakes operational activities associated with the provision of road, drainage and footpath maintenance services to the City of Greater Geraldton, working under direction to ensure all work is carried out within agreed programs and budget constraints and in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, City policies, procedures and relevant Australian standards.
This position works a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday as a non-working day.
Key accountabilities:
Participate in hazard identification and controls through the development of specific JHA and ensuring team accountability. Promote safe work practices and environment through leading by example.
Maintain the City?s sealed roads, drainage systems and footpath network assets through undertaking various maintenance activities.
