AECOM’s Environment Business in Perth is growing to meet the demand of a strong pipeline of exciting projects including wind farms, transmission infrastructure, Defence Estate, resource projects, major rail and road upgrades and future fuel opportunities. The team has an opportunity for a professional environmental consultant to join our successful Impact Assessment & Permitting (IAP) Team. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for you to contribute to and lead a range of projects, including high-profile, complex infrastructure in urban and regional contexts across energy transition (including renewable power generation and grid modernisation), transport, water, industry, and other sectors.

What will a day in this role look like:

• You will primarily assist with reporting aspects of multiple concurrent environmental impact assessment and approvals projects of varying size and complexity.
• Work amongst a team of peers and alongside our clients and subcontractors, while learning first-hand from our in-house senior advisors and technical leaders.
• You will contribute to a range of projects sizes with opportunities to develop project management skills and will play an active role in project delivery and client management.
• Provide technical insight and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, drafters, project administrators and contractors

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain in depth understanding of the Commercial segment’s processes, systems, technologies, data, customers, consumers, partners.

• Act as the primary local security contact / advisor for key stakeholders within the Commercial segment.

• Advise Security Leadership in decision making for and affecting the Commercial segment.

• Analyse and manage security compliance requirements based on industry standards, national and international regulatory framework and internal policy framework.

• Proactively identify non-conformities and areas of potential improvement and facilitate development of pragmatic solutions to address issues, utilizing the security assessments and observations processes.

• Engage with clients and customers as needed to assist the business to achieve its objectives with pre and post sales activities (e.g. explain our security program, support external audits, support bids/RFP process, assist in customer communication of security incident, etc).

• Participate in BU related conferences, client facing engagement, industry forums to represent the Security program.

• Provide regular and timely reporting on the status of information security across the Commercial segment.

What experience you need 

• 5+ years experience within the security industry.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Strong communication and presentation skills demonstrated by your experience in presenting and communicating at all levels within the organization and senior management. An ability to translate complex technical security concepts into business-friendly communications, especially covering cloud usage.

• Ability to independently influence others in order to achieve objectives.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently and autonomously, and engage stakeholders as required, to own and carry on end-to-end projects and initiatives.

• Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external customers and

• always demonstrate good judgment, integrity and actively collaborates and commits to the success of others.

• Knowledge and experience of Information Security Risk and Security governance.

• A solid understanding of security best practices and international standards such as ISO2700 and PCI DSS and NIST.

• Demonstrable experience of driving operational implementation of policies and processes.

• Previous experience as a Business Information Security Officer (BISO).

• Experience working in a matrix environment with globally diverse team members.

• Experience with Google Cloud (GCP).

• Previous experience working with external clients.

• Experience participating in IT Security audits, working with auditors..

• Experience obtaining or maintaining compliance certifications such as SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001.

• Understanding of cyber risks in the banking/ financial services sector.

• CISM, CISSP or related certification is a strong plus.

About the Role:

The Environmental Contracts Trader is responsible for the development and implementation of sophisticated and high-value contracts trading strategies aimed at maximising the value of AGL’s Renewable, Energy Efficiency and Carbon portfolios. The position involves decision making, analysis and supervision of the development of sophisticated computer models, dealing with risk, uncertainty and probability. Specific responsibilities include:

What you’ll be doing:

• Pricing of voluntary and mandatory environmental products and certificates for Retail and Wholesale customers 
• Development and implementation of trading and contracting strategies
• Identification and execution of trading opportunities and recognition of key risks in the environmental markets in order to optimise risk and returns
• Critical and informed decision making in high pressure situations
• Undertake all trading activities within risk management limits and approved delegations
• Draw conclusions from market analysis and communicate them effectively in order to explain past outcomes and make informed decisions
• Analyse causes and implications of market events.  Estimate future effects and provide relevant advice to internal stakeholders
• Use judgement and an understanding of commercial requirements to translate problems from real world to mathematical models and back again, and effectively communicate outcome
• Analyse and estimate current and potential risks, and effectively assess the qualitative and quantitative implications for the business
• Monitor market and technological developments to ensure the environmental trading team remains suitably resourced and skilled with up-to-date trading information

About You:

You will ideally have advanced analytical and conceptual skills that have developed through your experience in a trading or highly analytical career, where you have gained exposure to environmental schemes. You will be a problem solver who can operate and make decisions in a high pressure and ambiguous environment.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics, finance, physical science, economics, econometrics, engineering or similar quantitative disciplines
• An understanding of environmental markets in Australia and internationally, including LRET, SRES, ESS, PDRS, VEU and voluntary and mandatory carbon schemes
• Exposure to environmental trading and a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a trading role or similar
• Advanced attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships
• AFMA accreditation, or the intention to work towards obtaining accreditation

About the role

• This opening is for a Transport Administrator / Customer Service Officer to join our team in Murarrie

• This is a Full time, Permanent Role. The working hours for this role are 10:00 – 18:00  

• Manage customer and client freight queries with key clientele  

• Respond to phone calls and emails from customers and resolve queries in a prompt manner

• Follow up customer and customer store calls to ensure delivery and pick-up times are met

• Using our systems and software to complete routing tasks, in order to organise driver runs and align them to our delivery deadlines

• Extract data from spreadsheets in order to coordinate our driver runs

• Use your knowledge of the Brisbane region to organise drivers and coordinate runs effectively and efficiently

• Reschedule any urgent deliveries directly with customers and re-route drivers where necessary

• Support our drivers when required to ensure high levels of fleet presentation

• Utilise our systems to complete administration and data entry tasks

• Handle each customer interaction with empathy and resilience, adapting to diverse needs and situations.

• Educate customers on how to use our self-service platforms effectively.
