About the role

Join us as the Service Desk Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing the operations of GP AU/NZ corporate staff systems and services. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring our staff have the tools and support they need to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

In this hands on role, your primary focus will be providing practice and people leadership to our IT operations team members responsible for building, supporting, and maintaining internal IT services across Oceania. You'll also guide and develop practices for cross-functional scrum team members working on infrastructure across the company.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Management of the corporate enablement services, and their infrastructure and cloud environments;
• Lead and manage a team of technical staff;
• Manage the strategic planning for future team and technology growth and evolutions;
• Manage and prioritise the backlog and workload of the team;
• Lead the ITIL framework to provide support for issues escalated;
• Lead the designing, building & maintaining of system and application monitoring.

About you

An experienced leader, you will have an excellent understanding of modern infrastructure, cloud, and SaaS patterns and practices with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate these topics. A keen technologist you will have a background in designing and building robust, scalable solutions, you will have an understanding of distributed system considerations, security, and cloud technologies.   Pivotal to your success will be your highly developed consultancy skills, strong technical comprehension, and ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.

You will also bring:

• A tertiary qualification in the field of Information Technology or a related discipline;
• A minimum of 3 years commercial experience managing technical teams;
• An understanding of web technologies, specifically as they relate to performance and end user experience and how to manage and monitor deviations from baseline;
• Strong stakeholder management skills, and experience working in a multi national company environment;
• An understanding of web technologies, specifically as they relate to performance and end user experience;
• A moderate understanding of automation tools and Infrastructure as Code;
• A working knowledge of Agile would be beneficial;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities / Tasks

The Co-ordinator requires strong collaborative skills and the ability to work globally with colleagues to discuss the team's service and parts offers and highlight key sales service benefits to customers who have recently invested in new GEA equipment. S/he will liaise and coordinate FSO activities between project and local service teams; creating and presenting service offers to customers. This requires a thorough knowledge of mechanical and/or process equipment.

Additionally this role involves full internal technical support for the sales teams as well as liaising with customer maintenance personnel. The position holder will have a focus on driving technical support offering to our customers and maintaining brand health through the various divisions.

S/he will understand the concepts of maintenance strategies and equipment criticality analyses from a service and parts requirement for complete processing lines.

The key management priorities and tasks for the role:

• Plan and prepare Recommended Spare Parts List for all Australian projects which require a FSO.

• Coordinate FSO activities closely with Divisions and Service and Sales Teams.

• Liaise with Divisions in preparation and planning of Recommended Spare Parts lists and Service Offers, including Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

• Provide regular progress reports on servicing and preventative maintenance, updates on projects, feedback on observations from customer sites as well as ideas for companywide improvements.

• Provide regular customer feedback to the engineering, product development and innovation teams on product values.

• Identify business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to specific service sales.

• Building up and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and building a network of contacts within the region of responsibility.

We are looking for a Repairs Service Technician based in Regional Victoria – Bendigo. This is a permanent role and reports to the Regional Victoria Area Manager.

You will work closely with other Service Technicians, Mechanical Fitters, Installers, Adjusters, Trade Assistants, Field Engineers, and Service Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities for You

• Performs service, repairs, and maintenance work in accordance with relevant job procedures, technical articles, and operations manuals.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

• Extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge across large equipment and the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.

• Has the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.

• Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Strong English language skills, both verbal and written

• Intermediate knowledge and experience using technology, including mobile communications, applications, and other computer-based systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet).

• Highly organized, structured, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.

• Attention to detail and results-driven.
