About the role:

The primary purpose of the Construction Coordinator role is to coordinate and assist in the management of the project from concept design through to delivery and finalisation; to make sure the project is well-organised and that it runs smoothly.  

This includes communicating with various departments in the organisation to make sure everyone is on the same page. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership and the ability to deliver projects with a strong commitment to customer service. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Support reporting, forecasting, budget control, procurement, and program updates.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation in Aconex and SharePoint.
• Assist the Construction and Services Managers in reviewing and preparing procurement documentation, including Scope of Works and programming.
• Facilitate and lead project meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
• Assist in contract administration during the project life cycle.
• Coordinate project activities from early works to final handover.
• Support the preparation of Expenditure Approval Requests for services trades contracts and variations.
• Validate GC and services trade progress claims, participate in site inspections, and prepare payment certificates.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Confidentiality and Health and Safety Policies.
• Oversee the documentation for the ongoing maintenance and support of the data centre.
  

About you: 

This role is ideal for those with a background in project coordination or engineering on major construction projects.

We also encourage individuals with senior trade experience who have significant exposure to project management processes to apply.

• Strong understanding of key stakeholder requirements with effective communication through ACONEX, PROCORE, and BIM.
• Expertise in building methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Skilled in interpreting drawings, architectural plans, and specifications.
• Knowledgeable in quality control, health and safety systems, and cost management.

Qualifications: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction or Project Management preferred 
• Proficient with MS 365 applications 
  

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.

We are looking for a self-motivated and quick thinker, who can adapt and coordinate multiple priorities at any given time.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week within the trading hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm.

What Will You Do?

You will start your day by ensuring that our customers expectations are met in a timely and efficient manner. To achieve this, you will supervise a small team and provide hands-on support by:

• scheduling the teams’ hours to ensure suitable staff cover throughout the trading day
• attending to customers who visit the branch and addressing incoming inquiries
• managing customer orders by interacting with internal stakeholders to ensure we can meet our customer’s expectations
• follow up on quotations and inquiries to identify new sales opportunities
• providing timely communication to customers and internal stakeholders
• ensuring all processes are conducted safely by following the company’s safety practices

You will also provide support to the warehouse team, which may include unloading our incoming deliveries and loading customers’ vehicles in a safe manner.

Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and motivating your team, ensuring they deliver professional, efficient and friendly service. You will be assisting the Restaurant & Bar Manager with the day-to-day operations in The Quartier Bar & Restaurant, In-Room Dining and Conferencing/Events. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide for guests and patrons an experience and environment they feel meets their expectations
• Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
• Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to.
• Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
• Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
• Set up systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant and conference service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
• Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.

As our Construction Safety Advisor you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the safety management system for construction projects. In this role you’ll also responsible for undertaking desktop and on-site safety audits and driving safe work practices within our construction projects.

• Develop and maintain construction safety management system procedures and guidance material
• Review and critique external partner project-specific safety management plans and client requirements
• Participate in High Risk workshops with the project management team
• Undertake routine onsite construction inspections to ensure safety issues are appropriately identified, assessed and risks are mitigated
• Complete site inspection reports, including findings and following up on the implementation of corrective actions
• Manage reporting processes for customer projects as well as internal reporting
