The Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor (Day Shift) to join our site in Morwell. Responsible for up to 24 team members over 4 crews, managing the warehouse operations. Other responsibilities include managing external transport of finished product to 3PL providers, receiving deliveries from other sites and suppliers, waste removal and managing our Forklift fleet. The Role

As safety and wellbeing is one of Bega’s Group main priorities, we have a newly created role at our Strathmerton site for a passionate and people-focused individual to join the site as a Safety and Wellbeing Officer to own, oversee and define safety and wellbeing policies and provide safety and wellbeing guidance.

In this unique opportunity, you will support the site’s Safety Advisor with developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to prevent injuries or health impairment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the site leadership team, internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement site initiatives on various communication and training strategies around preventative injury management.  

• Minimise risk exposures and ensure adherence to regulatory standards by working with all internal functions to ensure compliance programs are appropriately implemented and maintained.

• Act as a Safety and Wellbeing SME by advising on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues, and escalating Safety issues as required.

• Championing safety by constantly looking at Process Improvement initiatives and ways to increase safety performance and engagement.

• Simplify and support with the translation of Bega’s corporate policies around safety and wellbeing and ensure a high level of understanding and clarity from the site’s employees.
