The Opportunity
With strong growth in our Remanufacturing division, our Brisbane branch has an exciting opportunity for a Metal Machinist to join the team on the afternoon shift (2pm – 10pm). In this role, you will be studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings, fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub assemblies to produce machines and equipment. You will also diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
To be successful in this role you will:
Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Metal Machinist
Have previous experience with the overhaul, repair and remanufacture of mechanical and hydraulic components
Have an understanding of Mining, Earthmoving and/or Construction equipment
Have the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
Hold good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Having experienced in a production line style workshop would be advantageous
