The Role

Our team covers all areas of water engineering, from strategic water planning, infrastructure design, flood modelling, drainage design, climate change resilience and water quality. As an integrated team, we provide design and planning advice from inception through to detailed design, often working alongside other engineers, scientists, architects and master planners in multi-disciplinary teams. ​

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting in data collection and analysis ​
• Undertaking hydrological, hydraulic and drainage network modelling using various modelling tools
• Undertaking calculations for concept and detailed design of culverts, bridges, dams, channels, pit and pipe networks.

The Role

•    The ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and to effectively collaborate with those around you. A growing knowledge across a range of disciplines.

This team is a feature enablement team. You will work on features that span across multiple domains and hard problems that often otherwise fall through the gaps. Think architecture upgrades, API modularisation, data modelling and layer changes! You'll work closely with our Principal Engineer and Engineering Manager, alongside our newly formed team.

What you’ll do?

• Full Stack Development: Write high-quality quality maintainable and readable code across our services. Contributing to the team's incremental feature delivery in an Agile environment.
• Pair and Learn: Program side by side with team members on tough problems, and clarify understanding with insightful code reviews.
• Tackle Tech Debt: Dedicate time to uplift legacy areas of the codebase, keep on top of configuration and stop dependencies from going stale.
• Performance Tuning: Monitoring and responding to solve scaling, security, and performance issues as the system evolves to meet its changing needs
• Code Quality Enhancement: Elevate our codebase's quality by crafting Unit, Module, and Functional automated tests.
• Bug Resolution: Identify and resolve bugs and defects to maintain a seamless user experience.
• Scrum Involvement: Attend scrum ceremonies and actively participate in shaping our technical Roadmap
• Promote Best Practice: Provide recommendations for process improvement and technical innovation.
• Documentation and Workshops: Create documentation and deliver workshops to share knowledge on delivered features

What you’ll need?

• A deep understanding of .NET, covering both Framework and Core, showcasing your expertise.
• A strong command of Entity Framework, ensuring efficient data interactions.
• An affinity for Angular Version 13 and beyond
• A keen grasp of SQL Server, Version 2019 and newer, for effective data management.

As the Lead Engineer – Gas and Battery Storage in the Integrated Energy Team, you'll be at the forefront of this renewable energy revolution and be responsible for leading engineers to support the battery storage assets and gas flexible generation assets.  You will be providing discipline-based asset management expertise to ensure asset risks are identified and effectively managed, compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, and the upkeep of asset plans to maximise asset performance of over asset life cycles.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and maintaining Renewables Asset Management Plans aligned with Asset Management Strategies and the requirements of the business procedures in accordance with ISO 55000.

• Reviewing asset risks and implementing effective risk management plans with control measures to mitigate risks and ensuring compliance with AGL Asset Management Standards and systems are proactively maintained.

• Sponsoring and conducting asset related investigations including formal Root Cause Analysis investigations and acting as a point of reference and technical approving authority for managing changes in assets.

• Proactively undertaking asset related reviews and testing to ensure compliance with licence obligations.

• Maintaining effective working relationships with Regulatory Agencies by responding in a timely manner to issues with the National Electricity Market (NEM).

• Developing and coaching a small team to ensure core competencies are developed and maintained.

• Leading the way in embedding and delivering to the renewable’s leadership team strategy and expectations.

• Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are communicated and adhered to while meeting AGL’s policies and standards for HSE management.

What you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications preferably in Electrical Engineering as well as a Chartered Professional Engineer with previous power generation experience and an understanding of the NEM and current regulatory environment preferred.

• A strong understanding of asset management principles supported by a qualification in ISO55001 is highly desired coupled with both financial and risk management.

• Experience in effective team leadership including, management skills, coaching, mentoring and strong technical leadership.

• Strong commercial acumen, business planning, change management and process improvement skills as well as analytical and conceptual skills for the effective delivery of projects and contract management.

• Proven interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills that can be used across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

Working from our Bendigo site on Dja Dja Wurrung land, you can expect to rotate between multiple departments. On any one day you might

• Help to design, develop and validate components and systems for our defence vehicles

As the Senior Cyber Analyst Engineer, you will be a critical part of the Endeavour cybersecurity team and a key driver of the implementation of the threat management strategy. The complexity of the environment creates the opportunity for the successful candidate to operate as both security incident response and security engineer. 

The candidate will work closely with stakeholders both in the business and the Cyber Security team. They will have involvement with a robust assortment of security projects that support the Endeavour Cyber Security Team.

• The Performance Support Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the ServiceNow Technical Support team focusing on Performance and instance availability. This includes being the last point of escalation within the technical support department and mentoring junior team members in the various technologies. 
• The successful candidate will be able to quickly gain an understanding of the ServiceNow platform. This is a customer-facing role and therefore it requires strong inter-personal skills in addition to strong technical skills.  
The Performance Support Engineer must able to work outside of normal business hours (evening/weekend shifts, holidays) as needed.
