ROLE OUTLINE:
The role of the Marketplace team within GroupM is to deliver the highest excellence in Implementation Planning and Buying, spanning both offline and digital media types, powered by data, technology, and automation, ensuring client campaigns are executed and amplified in an effective, efficient, and future facing way. The role of Associate Manager within the Marketplace team is to implement approved client media plans, ensuring that there is efficiency and rigor in the process.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Openly communicate and collaborate with all internal key stakeholders and reports regularly
Hold regular performance evaluation meetings with reports throughout the year, setting SMART KPIs and creating a clear career development plan with them.
Overseeing workflow of junior members of the team and escalating any issues.
Provide clear guidance and instruction when teaching & helping others
Assist in the training and development of junior members in the team Clients
Establish an understanding of client challenges, objectives & initiatives.
Help build on the agency's reputation for outstanding client service.
Begin to develop relationships with clients at a Marketing Assistant or Marketing Manager level when it comes to Implementation Planning and Buying
Clear understanding of the in-scope services of your clients and the process for completing work above and beyond. Product
Engage with our media partners to build knowledge of the media landscape and understanding of core media principles and the capabilities of each media touchpoint.
Engage with internal product teams including GroupM proprietary product and service teams to ensure you have an understanding about their offerings and relevance to our clients.
Developing your knowledge of media planning principles (e.g. scheduling, flighting, recency, effective reach theories, seasonality, market prioritisation, roles of all communication channels) and strong ability to utilise agency and industry tools to enhance and support planned recommendation.
Ownership of the media plan (creating, developing, updating) including media plan reconciliation, and the update of plan changes, with detailed updates for internal stakeholders.
Able to support the construction of robust Implementation plans, that are grounded in strategic priorities.
Brings innovation and creativity to the table, leveraging insights from across the market.
Activate approved media plans, ensuring campaign deliverables are met consistently, across all touchpoints.
Book, load, confirm, optimise, traffic, track and post analyse client media campaigns.
Construct and present insightful and progressive post analysis reports.
Responsible for ensuring all financial and compliance processes are followed with 100% accuracy, including bookings and loadings
Seek to find, communicate and implement improvements in all aspects of the role. Growth & Marketing
Collaborate closely with your Manager to identify, collate and showcase examples of great work from within the team, both internally and externally.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Passion for Implementation Planning and Buying
Strong, up to date, media landscape knowledge (confidently able to articulate current consumer insights and trends).
Media buying experience
Clear communicator, with well developed presentation skills
Results Driven. Passionate about delivering business results for clients, with the ability to identify and clearly articulate what’s working and why.
