As our new Fire Protection Engineer, you'll be a vital part of the Building Hydraulic and Fire Protection Services Team who are changing the way we design and deliver works to minimise carbon footprint and sustainable across all types of Civic, Defence, Commercial, and Retail projects.
Your role will include;
Liaising of client, stakeholder, and relevant Local Authorities
Fire Hydrant and Fire Hose Reel services design
Sprinkler protection services design
Smoke and thermal detection design
Fire Hydrant and Sprinkler services modelling
Report writing and creation of project specification.

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the design of Fire protection systems (wet and dry) for buildings and ability to assist in the preparation of design documentation.
Familiar with National Code of Construction, associated Australian standards and Fire Protection technical guidelines.
Experienced in site visits and associated reporting.
Experienced in the design and delivery of innovative solutions, supporting clients from concept Design phase to Construction.
Familiar with the latest digital industry software (HEYNA+, BIM 360, Revizto/ Navisworks, Bluebeam)- Knowing Revit, SprinkCalc will be an advantage
Relevant Fire Protection Engineering qualifications and working towards obtaining relevant registrations would be a great advantage.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary consulting environment and willingness to contribute positively to the company culture and uphold its values
Strong commitment to excellence
A self-starter who thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members
