As a Senior Project Manager in our Real Estate team, we are looking for you to lead these large projects, manage a team, have a commercial focus and balance working across major projects. 

• Lead and manage large scale projects as the key client interface
• Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
• Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
• Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
• Managing project safety and environmental requirements
• Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
• Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
• Direct line management team responsibilities

As a Parks Asset Management Officer you will assist in providing high quality, tidy and safe Parks and Reserves within the Hume municipality.

What you’ll be doing:

• Undertake programmed and reactive park maintenance duties
• Conduct maintenance and repair of various hard assets and infrastructure in parks such as, but not limited to, reserve fencing, furniture, shelters, gravel paths, retaining walls, park signage, etc.
• Operate plant and equipment relevant to the park asset management task and ensure it is maintained to a high level.
• Perform minor reactive pruning, branch collection and mulching works, minor turf preparation of sports fields, parks and nature strips, and minor soft and hard landscaping works.
• Undertake other park asset management tasks commensurate with skills to ensure a high level of park and reserve presentation.
• Inspect and report on the condition of park and reserve assets to ensure they are maintained and presented to a high standard.

• Conduct minor soft and hard landscaping rectification works in a team environment.
• Assist in constructing, installing, maintaining and renewing minor park assets, including retaining walls, park furniture, bollards, fences (post and rail), signs, paving and hard pavement soil edge levels, etc.
• Conduct and monitor programmed and reactive maintenance activities on Parks and Reserves.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

• Certificate III in Landscape or other relevant qualification and commensurate on the job training
• Relevant experience with Parks maintenance principles and the operating of equipment relevant to Parks and Reserve management.
• The ability to apply a range of Skills and Hand Tools for various Park Maintenance tasks
• Demonstrated experience in organising daily resource requirements, processes and equipment for programmed and reactive works programs.
• Ability to maintain full and accurate records, including daily works reports, programmed and reactive works progress reports, and park asset audit data records.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with contractors and other staff in a team environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to gain cooperation and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Proven ability in recognising improvements and work practice opportunities.
• Current Driver’s Licence with minimum MR Truck drivers’ endorsement (HR Truck Driver’s Licence desirable.)
• Forklift and F/E Loader License desirable

Reporting directly to the National Director | People & Performance, this role will play a crucial part in shaping and executing the overall HR strategy & objectives across the QLD business, whilst providing advice and expert guidance to specific business lines nationally. This role is supported by a group of high performing HR professionals including an established team of recruiters.

The role will be responsible for the delivery of HR operational services & advisory including:

• Managing challenging employee issues demonstrating best practice.
• Developing relationships and influencing at a senior level and using this relationship to understand business needs and demands to tailor HR approach.
• Proactively work with Leaders in QLD to provide guidance and execute on employee engagement, retention & culture.
• Providing trusted advice and executing on employee relations matters.
• Delivering advice on management, coaching and advisory; and
• Dealing with State based workplace health & safety matters.
