About the Job

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Delivery – Manage projects from initiation through to closure, to ensure that projects are appropriately structured to achieve the maximum chance of success (time, budget, scope, quality).  Ensure efficient and timely monitoring and reporting to required stakeholders.

• Financial Management – Manage the preparation of project cost estimates for gating submission/funding approval, and subsequently manage and report project delivery against agreed costs, to; maximise operational efficiency, optimise the cost / benefits of resource mix, forecast and manage the cost impacts of scope change.
   
• Benefit Management –Monitor benefits against what was predicted in the business case and ensure all participants are informed and involved throughout the change programme. Awareness of dependences between the project and its benefits and actively managing these in liaison with the impacted REST business units.
   
• Stakeholder management – Engage, inform and negotiate with regulatory change stakeholders, particularly the sponsor, business owner, impacted Rest business units, vendors and parties responsible for the services after project completion, to identify, manage and monitor compliance with reform obligations.
   
• Project Governance – Adherence to Rest delivery methodology and governance framework to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of their role and that the required decision making and escalation processes are in place to help achieve the required outcomes.
   
• Partner and vendor management – Manage vendors to deliver solutions for the project to ensure adherence to schedule, quality outcomes, cost effectiveness, appropriate risk management and seamless integration with other project delivery streams, including:
  • Define the commercial framework/terms;
  • Monitor and report progress and performance against agreed deliverables and quality and performance expectations;
  • Manage contractual performance and quality, ensuring program requirements are met effectively/efficiently and problems are managed and escalated when required.
• Risk and Issue Management – Effectively manage risks and issues by identifying and documenting risks and issues to projects and developing effective mitigation/management strategies according to Rest risk framework by:
  • Leading and managing the identification of risks and impacts associated with project delivery.
  • Managing and leading the development of risk mitigation plans
  • Facilitating informed risk management decisions by reporting and communicating risk assessments and plans to the necessary stakeholders
  • Direct the identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of issues and/or problems associated project delivery, including challenging and influencing stakeholders as required to enable the achievement of project deliverables and benefits.
• Lead, mentor and guide project team members to:
  • Ensure that resources are optimally utilised.
  • Build capability across Rest on methods, techniques, and approaches to project management

About the Job

As a senior leader within Rest's member division, your role as the Head of Relationship Management – South, will involve overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the Southern Relationships Management team.

You will work closely with the Head of Relationship Management – North to support Rest's efforts in retaining and expanding our existing client portfolio by delivering world-class, strategic account management services to employers and members.

Your exceptional leadership skills will ensure team members consistently exceed client expectations, foster positive word-of-mouth, and increase referrals.

Reporting to the General Manager of Workplace Super, you will hold a crucial position as a Rest ambassador in the external market.

• Lead the Account Management team (Southern) in cultivating strong relationships with key employers and stakeholders. This includes positioning Rest's products and services to deepen relationships, enhance member retention, increase awareness of Rest's offerings, and expand market share
• Lead the Relationship Management Team (Southern) in building strong relationships with key employers and stakeholders to promote Rest's products and services, deepen relationships, enhance member retention, increase awareness of Rest's offerings, and expand market share.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure the successful adoption of Rest's products and services while maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of our employer client portfolio to support employer retention and consistently executing opportunities.
• Establish strong, long-term commercial relationships with our existing employers at the Executive level while identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities within the portfolio.
• Advocate for the voice of the customer (employer and member via an employer) within Rest and contribute to shaping employer and member value propositions that exceed expectations.
• Design and implement client strategies to optimise member engagement and meet MBFI obligations.
• Deliver engaging presentations and seminars to diverse audiences, both in person and virtually.
• Empower the team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and system adoption, optimising strategic outcomes and enhancing the employer experience.
• Promote the use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and facilitate seamless transitions to new or related systems.
• Lead and inspire the team, fostering a culture aligned with Rest's values while promoting engagement and capability development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated service delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Drive a high-performance culture to ensure consistent achievement of team and individual key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stay current on the workplace superannuation landscape and collaborate with the Member Team to develop strategies that meet or exceed market standards.
• Contribute to the broader Workplace Super leadership team by sharing market insights and leveraging data analytics to identify growth and innovation opportunities.
• Regularly report on overall business performance and represent the team in internal Senior Leadership Team (SLT) or Executive Leadership Team (ELT) forums as required.
