As a Business Development Representative, you will identify prospective Square sellers and promote the value of Square in helping them grow their business. You will work with the Australian Sales team to find new large value merchants fitting the Square ecosystem, and with global Square team-mates on wider projects. Often the first line of contact with prospective Australian Square merchants, you will understand and empathise with their diverse needs and focus on how Square could best support them. You will become an expert in the Square product ecosystem, and will document and track qualified opportunities to pass onto our Account Executive team. You will use multi-channel outreach (social media, outreach emails, phone calls) to large value merchants in Australia each day, applying a data-driven approach to outbound sales. This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney with options to work from home or in the office.

You will:

• Maintain current knowledge of the global Square product ecosystem and how this may help large value Australian merchants to further grow their businesses

• Create a great first impression for prospective Square merchants by using storytelling, case studies and other materials to inspire them about how Square could benefit their businesses

• Research and prospect large value merchants across Australia that may be a good fit for Square, and understand how to handle objections you may encounter

• Use multi-channel outreach methods (social media, outreach emails, phone calls) to qualify leads and schedule meetings between merchants and members of our Account Executive team

• Represent Square and our product ecosystem in the local Victorian, and national Australian markets

• Keep up-to-date with the latest business, industry and product trends

• Helping to establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project.
• Assisting project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
• Assisting with contractual work including procurement and editing documents.
• Assisting the management of the change control process.
• Assisting with the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Assisting in preparing formal project progress and other reports.
• Ensuring key information and learning generated from each project is entered into internal databases.

• Proven experience as a strong business partner with ability to influence, coach and persuade managers, and provide guidance as appropriate.

Position Description - P&C Business Partner  Inherent Requirements

We will review applications as we receive them. 

• Responsible for undertaking various project support and coordination activities in support of the client Program Manager, to help in the successful delivery of the construction Program. 
• To execute high level stakeholder management across the entire project team, including the client group, contractors and suppliers, and all the various authorities including Council, local and community interest groups etc’
• Work with project teams to improve the flow of information, communication and data needed by the contractors and other third parties
• Assist in the coordination and facilitation of regular and ad-hoc interface meetings between key stakeholders, including taking the lead on meetings when the Project Manager is not available
• Understand the size and scope of social/community risks based on projects
• Support project control activities, including assistance with schedule, risk, cost and change management, budget tracking and effective project reporting
• Support continual development of the project execution plan and ensure no community-driven delays to project delivery and operation
