Reporting to the Group Director People and Culture Business Partnering, the role provides quality, responsive and professional customer focused day-to-day Human Resources services on a broad range of P&C programs, policies and practices.
You will make an impact by:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of a culture which aligns with business needs and increases employee engagement.
- Positively influence Managers in the implementation and ownership of P&C initiatives, including data analysis and actions to optimise qualitative and quantitative P&C metrics.
- Providing quality, timely advice and coaching support to managers on employee relations and industrial relations issues.
- Coaching managers and coordinate the development and effective implementation of action plans and initiatives.
- Advising managers on effectively managing employee performance and development, ensuring employees have clear objectives, development plans and receive ongoing feedback.
- Managing grievances, disciplinary matters and staff related complaints requiring P&C advice, mediation, or investigation.

You will be qualified in the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Demonstrated success in a People & Culture Business Partner role
- Generalist HR background and experience gained working in a large, complex organisation
- Proven track record in facilitating change
- High level of experience in industrial and employee relations including working with multiple IR / ER instruments
Required skills and attributes:
- Proven experience as a strong business partner with ability to influence, coach and persuade managers, and provide guidance as appropriate.
- A values driven and influential approach to leadership
- Solid generalist human resources/employee relations skills, thorough understanding, and ability to interpret Awards/Agreements, contracts and entitlements.
- In-depth experience in employee relations, learning and organisational development, performance management and other key human resources functions within the context of best practice
- Demonstrated experience in integration of business principles, continuous improvement and key organisational performance indicators.
- Appreciation of Workplace Health & Safety, Injury Management/Return to Work and WorkCover management.
- Demonstrated positive and collaborative stakeholder engagement skills to appropriately communicate, educate and market the P&C function.
