Purpose Statement

The role is responsible for partnering with Commercial Site OSMs (Office Service Manager, Facilities lead roles) for the development and oversight of the facility strategy, including all aspects of real estate portfolio, facilities, environment, health and safety, capital spending and expenses for Boston Scientific in the APAC region
The role plays a critical role in optimizing the company's real estate assets, supporting its business objectives, minimizing costs, and providing innovative, efficient, and safe working environments for employees
Dedicated to providing facilities that adhere to our global standards and are cost-effective, safe, and valued by our internal Business Units and employees
The role has a dual reporting line to APAC Finance Leadership and Global Real Estate, Facilities and Environment, Health and Safety (GREFAC & EHS) function
This role is expected to engage and actively participate in all GREFAC Communities of Practice, Centers of Excellence and build strong relationships with facility leads at each commercial site in APAC

Key Responsibilities

Real Estate:
Responsible for the development and execution of APAC inputs to the Global Facilities Master Plan (GFMP) process, an enterprise level initiative to ensure governance of BSC Facilities Capex
Establishes strong collaborative relationships with Site OSM leads to:
Track Site Master Plans (SMP) in APAC, of associated real estate and facilities projects (acquisitions, dispositions, renovations, etc.) in support of the GFMP
Evaluate capacity and space utilization at each site through data analysis and communication with appropriate departments and build reports that accurately project future population which input into SMP
Tracking of all site leases, ensuring leases for existing and new sites meet BSC objectives and budget
Proactively address lease and contract management including but not limited to; negotiating and managing leases for owned and leased properties, ensuring compliance with lease terms, tracking lease renewals; proposing strategic lease renewals, negotiations and/or terminations
Oversee real estate development, acquisition, and disposition in accordance with organizational guidelines and expectations

Workplace Strategy:
Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources and information technology, to develop workplace strategies that promote employee productivity, well-being, and collaboration
Ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with the latest BSC Global Design Guidelines (including branding)
Responsible for the APAC Workplace Strategy including development of strategic space initiatives ensuring customer satisfaction and best utilization of space for BSC global real estate portfolio
Drives use of the Value Improvement Process (VIP) as a tool for tracking cost improvement

Capital Projects:
Builds strong relationships and collaborates with finance, country and site leaders to manage annual GFMP planning cycle, capital allocations, CERA process and monthly finance review
Administers operational expenses and capital budgets for assigned sites in alignment with GFMP and site objectives
Facilities Operations
Oversee and provide guidance on building maintenance programs within the region
Deploy & sustain soft services including janitorial, catering, security etc.
Managing facilities wheel of spend and ensure adherence to BSC standardised cost codes and operational expense reporting
Utilizes Business Essentials to improve equipment performance, facility operating costs, energy conservation, waste reduction, and the quality of facility operations

Environment:
In partnership with the Global Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and EHS Team, oversee the APAC Green Team and APAC Environment Strategic Plan
Liaise with the Global Energy team to determine the energy and carbon footprint of real estate. Gap assess current state vs. BSC’s Carbon Neutrality by 2030 goal (interim renewable energy goals) and BSC’s near term science-based targets
Ensuring regional participation in sustainability programs such as life cycle analysis, waste reduction and water conservation
Facilitate the establishment of country specific Environmental compliance registers, completion of annual regulatory assessments, and creation of improvement plans for any gaps identified
Ensure completion of any mandatory environmental reporting/programs required in the region, such as WEEE, Batteries, packaging waste, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
Collaborate with global teams for global regulatory and reporting requirements such as Corporate Sustainability Reporting directive
Point of escalation for commercial teams for ESG related inquiries from customers.

Health & Safety:
Collaborate with the Regional EHS Council and enable it to effectively deliver the Health and Safety programs in the region
Work with the Site OSM and Global EHS to establish long-term health and safety plans, aligned with Global requirements and site needs
Work with the Site OSM to:
Facilitate the establishment of country specific Health and Safety compliance registers, completion of annual regulatory assessments, and creation of improvement plans for any gaps identified
Ensure adequate emergency response plans are in place at all sites and adequate training and drills are in place
Ensure health and safety risk assessments are completed for all office and field-based employees, programs are in please to address any high-risk findings. Assessments and action planning are to be captured in Cority
Ensure regulatory/BSC required employee exposure controls and monitoring programs are in place in the countries to protect employees, such as PPE, radiation badging, bloodborne pathogen protections
Ensure all health and safety regulatory reporting, such as incidents, accidents, prescribed diseases are reported to the required authorities
Ensure scheduled delivery of required EHS incident reporting and metrics to Global EHS using Cority
Facilitate the development/deployment of employee Occupational Health and Wellness programs that support both Global and local needs
Embed EHS Essentials deployment in the region and ensure routine Essential Strategic Assessments are completed

Acquisitions & Integrations:
Serve as a link between newly acquired locations and the GREFAC EHS function to drive alignment of all site infrastructure and activities to global standards; responsible for liaising with acquisitions team
Responsible for maintaining Facilities related workstream in APAC Acquisition playbook

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or at least 10-15 years of industry experience
Master’s degree preferred
Medical device industry or other regulated industry experience
Multi APAC country and culture working experience
Relevant experience in facilities management in APAC
Relevant experience and proven results in project management and budget management
Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility
Ability to work independently, highly organized, and self-driven
Excellent MS application skills (PPTX, Excel, Word, Project, Teams)
Excellent communication and fluency in both verbal and written English and other Asian language highly desirable
A willingness to work flexibly across different time zones and travel in APAC

The Roebuck Bay Hotel is seeking to welcome a full-time Duty Manager into our large-scale business operation inclusive of Food and Beverage, Retail, and Accommodation departments.

The Roey is an iconic, 130 year old venue situated in the heart of the Kimberley’s – Broome. The venue has space to welcome another experienced Duty Manager to the team, reporting directly to the Senior Duty Managers and Senior Management Team.

About The Team

The Roey is a multi-faceted business, with many departments: a restaurant, sports bar, alfresco bar and events space, bottleshop, motel, and hostel. Championed by a team of long-serving managers and senior staff, Roey’s core values are Loyalty and Integrity.

The Duty Manager operates as the Approved Manager for designated shifts, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the licensed premises, and ensures that all operations, events, and staff are in accordance with the venue's policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.

About The Role

The role is offered on a full-time contract, with the expectation of 5 shifts, equating to 38 hours per week. The Duty Manager role is structured, and the candidate will be expected to work independently to satisfy the expectations of the daily workload.

Day to day, you can expect the role to include:

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the licensed premises for the designated shift.

· Complete Duty Manager opening and closing procedures and daily and weekly checklists.

· Report financial, operational and compliance shift activities to the senior management team.

· Communicate with staff on shift regarding shift objectives, incidents and other relevant information.

· Monitor and ensure staff compliance with relevant policies and procedures via the relevant supervisors.

· Manage shift and venue closure, to achieve revenue maximization and / or control of the venue as required.

· Complete all requirements detailed in the ‘event order’ and in accordance with relevant procedures, and to assist the events team with the management of different special events where required.

· Manage security and bar contractors on shift.

· Complete required cash management and administration as per reconciliation procedure.

· Manage in-house guests and late check-ins for PM shift.

· Ensure that the venue is clean, tidy and well-presented at all times.

· When working a shift where not designated the ‘Approved Manager’, undertake supervisory and other duties as required to support the day-to-day operations, under the direction of the designated ‘Approved Manager’ and / or Operations Manager.

· Perform health and safety duties as required by the position, including fire and emergency management and first aid response.

· Be a role model for healthy and safe work practices.

· Promote a safe and healthy work culture.

· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

· Report any health and safety issues immediately.

· Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others.

About You

This role will suit an Approved Manager with experience working in night-led venues with several departments. A candidate with experience in all aspects of the business would be beneficial. We value strong personalities, enthusiasm, hard work and big smiles!

? Current valid Approved Managers MLP1 certification (required)

• Daily financial reconciliations and auditing of financials and hotel inventory
• Organising long-stay payment process and allocation via Doorloop, EziDebit and cloud-based card processing
• Preparing, handling and terminating employment contracts in accordance with the Hospitality Industry Award and the National Employment Standards (NES) when required
• Coordinating daily housekeeping and ensuring all priority work such as departures/ arrivals are completed using available staff
• Liaising with operators and coordinators to ensure all expectations are met for large group bookings including accommodation, food and activities when required
• Liaising with conference guests and organising conference activities or other events
• Supervising food logistics including preparing menus and staff for group bookings, planning for dietary requirements for up to 300 people
• Providing directors with regular updates on the financial position, potential expenses, issues and solutions
• Overseeing security arrangements, security facilities and footages, and taking correspondence actions when required
• Overseeing garden and property maintenance for the two towers

The role of Senior Manager - Finance Strategy and Operations, serves as a key support to the Head of Finance across a broad range of financial activities and projects. The Senior Manager will play a versatile role, managing both strategic initiatives and day-to-day financial operations as needed.

This generalist position will focus on ensuring smooth execution of financial processes, financial reporting, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and policy updates while supporting the Head of Finance in driving the finance function’s overall performance.

Role Purpose:

As Business Manager, you will become project owner of technical products, right from discussions with the client until the interpretation and submission of the final report. To promote cased hole and well integrity technology through technical papers, workshops and presentations; liaising between R&D and the field engineers to troubleshoot problems with tools and software, and to train analysts across the geographical locations.



Experience Required:

5+ years’ professional work experience in a technical position within Oil & Gas wireline cased hole services (preferably Well Integrity). For example, cased hole Well Log Analyst, Technical Domain Champion, or R&D Engineer for wireline.

Knowledge of well logging.

Field data capture and well analysis technical capabilities.



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Geology, Geophysics, or an Engineering related discipline.
