About Canberra Accommodation Centre
Canberra Accommodation Centre is located in Braddon only minutes away from the CBD. We offer short and long term accommodation options, varying from single private rooms, to large private apartments. We specialise in group bookings and take pride in our all-inclusive approach to accommodation.
We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager that can lead and manage our hotel operations.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
As the Hotel Manager, your role will include but not limited to the following:
• Monitoring guests' stay experience, customer complaints and dispute resolutions where required
• Daily financial reconciliations and auditing of financials and hotel inventory
• Organising long-stay payment process and allocation via Doorloop, EziDebit and cloud-based card processing
• Preparing, handling and terminating employment contracts in accordance with the Hospitality Industry Award and the National Employment Standards (NES) when required
• Coordinating daily housekeeping and ensuring all priority work such as departures/ arrivals are completed using available staff
• Liaising with operators and coordinators to ensure all expectations are met for large group bookings including accommodation, food and activities when required
• Liaising with conference guests and organising conference activities or other events
• Supervising food logistics including preparing menus and staff for group bookings, planning for dietary requirements for up to 300 people
• Providing directors with regular updates on the financial position, potential expenses, issues and solutions
• Overseeing security arrangements, security facilities and footages, and taking correspondence actions when required
• Overseeing garden and property maintenance for the two towers
