Based at Mercy Services Singleton Aged Care Facility you will have;
Must have Certificate III in Individual Support or similar or higher qualification
First Aid Qualifications
Medication competent will be highly desirable
Our AINs provide our residents with support across all areas of their daily living needs, supporting the Registered Nurses to assess, plan, evaluate and deliver individualised resident care in accordance with Mercy Services’ policy and protocol.
You need to be committed to upholding the Aged Care Standards, be a supportive and collaborative team player and be passionate about delivering exceptional quality care.
Skills & Experience:
Assist the Registered Nurse to assess, plan and evaluate individualised resident care in accordance with Mercy Services’ policy and protocol.
Perform delegated care activities in accordance with residents’ plans of care and Mercy Services’ policies and procedures.
Undertake clinical documentation, as assigned by the Registered Nurse, in accordance with Mercy Services’ policy, to render those clinical records helpful and of proper value to other members of the health care team.
Observe, identify and report to a registered nurse variations in residents’ abilities and/or conditions.
Contribute to on-going care planning.
Participate in case conferences as required.
Accept direction and seek assistance from a registered nurse to fulfil role requirements.
You will have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate;
Work cooperatively as a team member.
Work within level of skill and knowledge and seek assistance from a registered nurse or colleagues as necessary.
Contribute to continuous improvement by participation in committees and attendance at relevant meetings.
Practice a duty of care to each other by respecting each others’ integrity and ability to contribute to a cohesive and harmonious team.
Support new or less experienced staff through the sharing of knowledge and by example.
What you must have
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent
A genuine passion for helping people and working with them to achieve their goals

This role pays & is governed by the Mercy Services (Nurses) Singleton Aged Care Facility Enterprise Agreement 2014 – 2015 as amended or replaced. Classified under the agreement will be that of an AIN Yr1 through to Experienced ($28.27 - $30.11) + Super + Penalty rates
