About the Role 

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, this position will be at the heart of the operations to deliver a culinary vision highlighting the finest, native Australian ingredients throughout our rail journeys and provide our guests with an experience that will ‘go beyond’.

• Ability to multitask between creative and 'hands-on', partner with stakeholders and lead our experienced brigade of Chefs to encourage growth.
• Responsible for creating a strong, positive team environment and relationships with the team, where standards are not simply met, but exceeded. 
• Able to enhance financial performance and ensure employee satisfaction is exceeded to drive revenue growth  

• Focus on exceptional customer service excellence for our guests and cultivate an experience where this is the standard and this is evidenced through consistent NPS scores.   
• Menu design and implementation.
• Supporting the warehouse department through leadership and management of full train provisioning.

About You 

• Dynamic and visionary leader. You must be dynamic with a real creative flair.
• It is essential that you are a chef by trade with culinary qualifications - from time to time you will 'jump' onboard the train to immerse yourself with the team.

• Independently take briefs and develop design jobs from conceptual presentations to final artwork.

The Opportunity
As one of Afterpay’s Account Executives, you’ll grow and expand our key strategic partnerships across a defined portfolio of prospects both online and in-store and work to exceed profitability targets for Afterpay and our partners. 

We are looking for someone who will effectively run a business within the  Afterpay ANZ business. You will lead the direction and evolution of our new vertical strategies and own the acquisition of key new merchants with a focus on our new verticals such as insurance, telco and utilities. You will identify opportunities for establishing best practices that scale across the wider business.

• Establish an extensive pipeline of sales opportunities, manage the development of the pipeline, and accurately forecast sales to senior management.

• Grow and develop long term profitable partnerships that deliver for our  Merchants, our Customers and Afterpay. From topline growth, right  through to the unit economics you’ll focus on building a sustainably profitable business 

• Develop new sales strategies and identify high-value prospects.

• Develop a strong understanding of the merchant's business objectives and decision-making processes and position the Afterpay solution as a genuine value creator for our potential clients.

• Conduct solution workshops and coordinate the preparation of sales proposals  etc.

• Develop and strengthen multi-level relationships within merchants to form long-term business partnerships.

• Stay across payment solution offerings from our competitors and understand their market strategy and value proposition to differentiate the Afterpay experience.

• Engage with our Marketing, Product, Brand and Commercial teams to share intelligence, feedback and insights to help amplify our growth trajectory.

• Lead C-level external and internal engagement and stakeholder management. This role is about truly leading and managing complex  relationships and engaging internally and externally to build advocacy 

• Develop and refine our Merchant Value proposition and establish clear marketing best practices, optimization strategies and plans with our partners and monitor performance 

• Lead Merchant advocacy within the Afterpay business. Foster cross-functional engagement internally across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk and Operations to ensure our product and offering continues to evolve and exceed both our merchants and their customers’ expectations
