Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintech’s and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Compliance to enable us to comply with all regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal standards.
This is a highly visible role in the business and will be responsible for the embedment of compliance frameworks, programs, policies and supporting tools. In addition to regulatory adherence, the purpose of the role is to:
Develop, maintain and monitor the implementation of Cuscal’s compliance framework to support Cuscal in complying with legal and regulatory requirements (covering but not limited to Privacy, financial crime and AML/CTF, prudential regulations, and industry standards), including:
Implement and embed initiatives to ensure sustainable practices. This includes, but not limited to, providing information, training, advice and tools to the first line of defence to assist them to perform compliance management activities
Develop and monitor the implementation of and reporting on Cuscal’s frameworks, policies and standards for managing compliance risks, including financial crime, money laundering, terrorism financing, bribery and corruption, fraud and sanctions (Australia and NZ jurisdictions).
Support the AML/CTF Officer to discharge responsibilities including completing and submitting reports to AUSTRAC (as required), using information provided by business units.
Support the establishment and embedment of a second line assurance and monitoring program.
Oversee and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Management across the organisation.
Actively participate and provide input to change initiatives and projects as they relate to compliance management, including APRA CPS 230 initiatives
Review and make recommendations for the continuous improvement of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system with a strong focus on data quality accuracy, process improvement and validation.
Provide input to the development, maintenance and monitoring of the Complaint Resolution Policy & Procedure.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience in operational risk and compliance roles, in the financial services sector, including the design and implementation of effective risk and compliance management frameworks, and a sound knowledge of APRA prudential standards.
Solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations, industry codes, standards, prudential requirements
Demonstrated experience in building risk and compliance maturity and capability across the first and second lines of defence and experience/exposure to better industry practice
Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build effective workplace relationships.
Proficient in executing change management activities
