About the role:

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and energetic Azure Cloud Architect to our growing team. You will have a solid background in building enterprise-grade Azure infrastructure to support 99.99% SLA in a highly available, 24/7, public-facing Linux environment. As an Azure Cloud Architect you will work closely with the Client Services and Product teams to ensure SaaS Operations can exceed SLA, resiliency, and reliability objectives for our client. The role is designed for a cloud architect expert who can not only triage and prioritise when necessary, but also has a strong sense of responsibility and ownership and can drive a complex problem to completion. This role will be based in Wellington.

About the role:

As an Azure Cloud Architect you will:

• Analyse, design, document, and build our next-gen operations and deployment infrastructure

• Advocate for and apply best design practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence and efficiency

• Deploy and enhance components of our ecosystem such as Container Services, Load Balancers, Firewalls, monitoring and alerting tools, etc  

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all things Azure Cloud

• Maintain ongoing improvement of processes, and best practices to meet security, cost and agility requirements

• Contribute to and maintain design and process documentation

• Continually seek opportunities to improve SLA/Uptime and minimize customer impacts

• Understand, champion, and enforce security and compliance policies and procedures

What you will bring:

• Experience designing a high availability publicly facing ecosystem with 24/7 uptime and 99.99%+ SLA

• Broad experience with building and deploying systems/applications on Microsoft Azure

• Experience operating commercial, client-facing applications in Microsoft Azure

• In-depth experience deploying Azure AKS, Azure Postgres, Azure SQL, Azure Networking, Storage and Log Analytics

• Exposure to Terraform and HashiCorp suite of tools

• Knowledge and understanding of networking technologies. (VPN, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Routers, etc.)

• Broad knowledge of the architecture of enterprise-level information technology hardware (e.g., WAN, LAN and computer systems and peripherals) and software platforms.

• Understanding of internet technologies. (Web servers, encryption, XML, HTTP, Web Services, etc.)

• Experience with Databases, SQL, LDAP.

• Azure Solutions Architect Certification

• Working knowledge of Terraform Enterprise (TFE) and associated technologies

• Ability to effectively prioritise deliverables and manage workload to meet deadlines

• The ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and priorities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Meetings & Events Executive to support our Meetings & Events Manager in delivering exceptional experiences. Reporting to the Meetings & Events Manager, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end process for events, including weddings and social gatherings. From compiling event orders to onsite coordination and post-event follow-up, you’ll ensure every detail is meticulously managed to create memorable events.

Key Responsibilities

• Event Coordination: Assist the Meetings & Events Manager in preparing and following up on meetings and event proposals, ensuring all details such as venue, function, menu, and accommodation are covered.
• Quotation Assistance: Work with the Meetings & Events Manager to develop comprehensive quotations for meetings, including venue and function costs, and liaise with clients throughout the process.
• Event Management: Oversee the complete organisation of events from confirmation to post-event follow-up, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• Onsite Management: Co-ordinate and host on-site familiarisation tours and site inspections for potential clients, including follow-up communication.
• Meetings Participation: Actively participate in weekly Meetings & Events Order meetings and sales meetings, while respecting confidentiality.
• Loyalty Programs: Maximise the use of Accor’s loyalty programs, including Accor Live Limitless and ALL Meeting Planner, to drive business performance.
• Event Setup & Support: Provide hands-on assistance with setting up, servicing, and packing down events to ensure smooth operations.
• Liaison with Departments: Coordinate with hotel departments, such as Food & Beverage and Maintenance, to ensure all preparations are completed and guest needs are prioritised.
• Weddings & Social Events: Support the planning and execution of weddings and social events in collaboration with the Meetings & Events Manager.
• Teamwork & Flexibility: Be flexible with your working hours to meet business needs and provide assistance wherever required, ensuring the success of every event.
• Additional Duties: Assist in managing food and beverage services within conferencing and outside catering areas as needed. Fulfill any other reasonable requests from the Manager or Hotel Management.

• Manage complex calendars, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for multiple executives 
• Coordinate and prioritise incoming requests and messages, ensuring timely responses and follow-up actions 
• Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and other documents on behalf of senior executives 
• Act as a liaison between senior executives and internal/external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors 
• Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and distribute meeting minutes as needed 
• Conduct research and gather information to support decision-making processes 
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned, collaborating with cross-functional teams as necessary 
• Plan and organise team events, such as all hands off-site meetings, retreats, and team-building activities, to promote collaboration and morale 
• Coordinate team-based reward and recognition programs to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements and contributions of team members
