Based in Minchinbury, you will also look after Erskine Park and Wyong with a total of 500 drivers across the 3 sites and 250+ powered equipment (trucks).
In collaboration with operations, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments at each site to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will collaborate with existing HSE and operational team members to develop and implement robust HSE procedures specific to the transport ensuring consistency and alignment with Toll Group standards and critical risk management program. It is important that you provide a regular HSE presence on site to partner with front line leaders, promoting safety awareness, competency, and a culture of safety obsessed. You will lead investigations into high potential HSE incidents or accidents that occur and you will support the sites to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrence. With a strong internal and external stakeholder focus, the ability to influence people and engage is essential in fostering good relationships. This role will require an effective and interactive communicator who can provide accurate and timely HSE performance reports to business leaders and customers and liaise effectively with all relevant personnel. As the HSE & Compliance Manager you will:

Provide direct onsite HSE advice and support to operational sites and prepare and deliver regular HSE meetings and Toolbox Talks.
Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance understanding and effectiveness of HSE management systems, risk management practices and safety leadership programs.
Conduct incident investigations using approved methodologies to effectively identify causal factors and associated improvement actions.
Develop and review HSE Improvement Plans in partnership with business leaders ensuring alignment with broader Company HSE plans, objectives and targets.
Monitor compliance with Company and statutory HSE requirements, including participation in regular HSE audits and inspections with operational stakeholders.
Assist with the preparation and facilitation of HSE review forums and Management of Change processes.
Provide accurate and timely HSE performance reports to business leaders and customers as required.



To be a success in this role your experience will include:

7 plus years practical experience in a HSE leadership role.
Experience within the transport, logistics or heavy industry is desirable.
Experience with supporting multiple sites or a geographically diverse business is desirable?

Technical/Professional Skills required

Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation and the application of risk management principals.
Ability to exercise sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of HSE legislation and audit criteria.
Excellent communication and relationship skills, including the ability to effectively engage with fellow team members, management stakeholders, workers and customers.
Excellent written communication skills, including high-level report writing capability.
Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Auditing qualifications / training is desirable.

Our Hays Sydney CBD office is seeking a full-time permanent Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for administration support and assistance to the Contracts team. This role reports into our Senior Manager, Supplier Enablement and Contracts.

Responsibilities:


Manage the team inbox, acting as a first point of contract for the contracts review process, liaising with internal business contacts for background information


Log and allocate any received contract documents for review and track the outcomes in a register


Store signed contracts and communications within a digital filing system


Maintenance of live contracts pages on the SharePoint intranet page


Ensure that the administration for the Contracts Management team is completed effectively and within deadlines


Respond to telephone, MS Teams and email queries effectively and efficiently


Organise meetings as required

Your new role
Our Hays Sydney office is seeking a full time permanent Senior Payroll Officer. This role commences immediately. The Senior Payroll Officer provides a broad range of payroll and benefit services and leverages extensive, policy, procedure and legislative knowledge to deliver a high quality and efficient payroll.



Provide all payroll services according to the relevant awards and legislative conditions within the organisation.


Deliver support, fulfil service requests and process transactions within the agreed timeframes to ensure employee records are paid correctly and on time.


Ensure the timely and efficient running of the 4-weekly and the fortnightly payrolls for Australia


Produce payroll related journals


Reconcile and process Employee Termination payments and redundancies


Calculate and process commission calculations


Be the point of contact for all general leave and Parental Leave enquiries and reconcile entitlements according to policies and communicate these effectively


Review and action employee visa requirements in relation to contracts


Calculate and submit PAYG for both Australia.


Provide exceptional customer service and advice and respond to and resolve complex enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information and the timely and the effective resolution of issues and requests for support.


What you'll need to succeed


Demonstrated at least 5 years' end to end payroll experience and knowledge


Proven experience working in a high volume and fast-paced environment


Advanced Excel skills


High attention to detail and accuracy


Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
