About the role
Team Global Express is seeking a HC Driver to commence immediately in Townsville
This is a Full Time Permanent role, 7.6 hours x 5 Days a week (7.30am Starts)
Overtime is available and will be offered on a need by need basis
Weekend Work is also available with this role and will be offered on a need by need basis
You must hold a current HC license (or higher). You must also be able to drive a combination of Automatic and Manual Heavy Vehicles
Must have a safety first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently
Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes
Complete deliveries and pick ups promptly and according to time frames
Restraining loads safely as well as the correct use of straps and chains where required
Unload and load vehicles and sort them appropriately and safely
Scanning freight, freight sortation and re-palletising of freight
Ensuring the correct movement and distribution of freight in a timely manner.
Keeping trucks in a clean and maintainable condition, whilst also keeping the yard and your personal work area tidy
Must be able to complete your own vehicle pre-start checks
Please Note: There is no set allocation of trucks in this position
What you’ll bring
You will hold a Current & Valid HC License or Higher
A Forklift License is also preferred for this role and is highly desirable
You will be able to work as part of a team
You will able to follow instructions and work autonomously where required
You must have Full Rights to work in Australia
You will have a high attention towards Safety
