As a Customs Broker / Classifier, you are responsible to prepare customs clearance declarations on behalf of some of the most reputable companies both locally and globally for submission to Customs in compliance with national regulatory provisions and in adherence to the company’s policies and procedures. You will manage shipments by accurately classifying and valuing import and export products for customs clearance. Your goal will be to effectively and compliantly clear goods across our international border and form part of the team servicing the requirements of the clients. You will continually seek opportunities for service enhancement and improved operational processes. You will input milestones and communications within specified time frames in line with Key Performance Indicators to provide visibility for your clients.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Daily Processing: You will monitor and manage a suite of clients from document assessment through to entry submission. This includes liaising with customers and our network for missing documents and information whilst following our unique entry processing procedures using state of the art technology within our internal KPI’s 
• Daily Management: Review and respond to emails within the company policy timeframe. Liaising with customers, Customs, DAFF and colleagues in order to complete entries within internal KPI’s 
• Classification and Valuation: Assessment and review of Tariff classification information including storage of supporting information 
• Entry Processing: Pre lodge and review entries including gathering information relating to Community Protection Questions. Entering AEP commodity codes and BMSB codes on the Customs entry. Amendment of entries where required.

What you will be doing

• Provide high level quality support to our sales and service teams (New Business Development, Partnership Managers, Customer Service)
• Pre-qualify, generate, and document partner and merchant leads.
• Nurture long-term opportunities in early stages prior to the sales cycle.
• Actively participate in targeted new business, retention, renewal, and marketing campaigns.
• Deliver prospective customers via closing sales generated through cold calling, digital engagements, and multiple inbound channels.
• Salesforce and HubSpot pipeline management and cadence across new business and partnerships
• Book appointments for new prospects on behalf of New Business and Partnerships. 
• Provide exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell existing partners with new products and capabilities. 
• Be a voice in development of sales playbooks, tender responses, and workflow design improvements.   

What you bring:

• Sound knowledge of banking, financial and/or payment solutions technology and payment choices available to merchants here in Australia. 
• Strong ‘Phone’ presence and outputs; you have an ability to understand nuances in tone, style & word choice, demeanor and be comfortable in managing the silence. 
• Excellent problem identification and solving capabilities.
• Your nature curiosity allows you to engage directly and create key actions and solutions.
• Incredible listening skills to decode, underpin rapport building to access partners and merchants real needs.  
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels across the team.
• You will be a self-starter, able to work to develop new partner and merchant engagements through the entire sales cycle.
• Competent Writer: you will possess an innate ability to communicate succinctly, construct concise written communication free from grammatical and spelling errors with a sense of urgency top of mind. 
• Experience presenting and closing all decision and senior leaders of Payrix’s target customer bases, aligning their business problems with our payment solutions.
