Offshore wind specialists – environmental impact assessments

We are seeking environmental impact assessment practitioners experienced in offshore wind projects, from Principal Consultant to Technical Director/Partner level, to be based in our Melbourne office (hybrid working available).

You will play a leadership role in ensuring that offshore wind and marine infrastructure projects are developed in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. You will be supported by a large cohort of industry leading technical specialists and environmental professionals, including ERM’s Australian and Global Marine and Impact Assessment Technical Communities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead EIS/EES projects in marine environments and as an offshore wind specialist.
• Lead the design, mobilisation, fieldwork coordination and reporting for marine baseline studies, including being a key contributor to safety planning.
• Manage projects to scope and budget, and ensure team and stakeholder relationships are maintained to an exceptional standard. 
• Collaborate with technical team leads to develop and deliver superior outcomes for our clients.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

• 10+ years’ experience in environmental planning and impact assessments on offshore projects, including 5+ years’ experience in environmental consulting – experience in Australia and internationally highly desirable.
• Excellent project management and project delivery skills, including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, risk management, and communications.
• Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining excellent relationships with clients, stakeholders and teams.
• Tertiary degree in Marine Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

What you bring:

• At least 10 years of experience as a consultant or Business Analyst with In-depth knowledge of Lending, in particular with Loan Origination and/or Credit Assessment experience.

• Advanced knowledge of multiple end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development and conversion methodologies

• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through Unified Modeling Language (UML), use cases, etc.

• Proficiency in using a workflow tool will be advantageous.

• Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

Are you a Salesforce Consultant who enjoys implementing solutions that are meaningful?

As one of our Senior Salesforce Consultants you will have the opportunity to work with a close-knit team, delivering on high profile enterprise-level Salesforce projects and learn directly from a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect. Key to this role will be your ability to understand business needs and collaborate with stakeholders on implementations/solutions that best utilise their budget.

This role will see you run Salesforce workshops with a variety of clients, configure the Salesforce Platform and present solutions/recommendations to our stakeholders.

• Produce analytical-based and data-driven propositions that highlight the value of illion’s data products & services.
• Work on projects varying from pre-sales presentation decks, analytical POCs, building credit scorecards, and forming credit strategy solutions. A typical end-to-end project would involve:
  • Initial scoping and requirements gathering to understanding the customer problem statement.
  • Data discovery, cleansing, wrangling and investigation.
  • Merging and combining multiple, disparate data sets.
  • Developing analytical insights with a key focus on driving value.
  • Developing high quality presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Presenting findings in a clear and informative manner based on content and audience.
• Solve client’s business problems using a wide variety of data science techniques. Analyses will be simplistic for some use cases and advanced for others.
• Use data to derive insights and trends to provide commentary on the wider credit market.
