We are looking for an experienced Data Operations Engineer with 3-5 years of industry experience. This role's core focus is delivering day-to-day data operations and  service management across our data and visualisation platforms, data products, and applications. Responsibilities include monitoring, triaging, and resolving issues, as well as collaborating closely with product squads and cross-functional teams for operations and support. Strong GCP, Azure knowledge and problem-solving skills are essential. The role will work closely with the Data Operations Lead ensuring efficient service response and alignment with standards and  processes across the data operations space.

• Monitor the support tickets, provide level 1/2 operations support for Endeavour data platforms, data products, data applications

• Provide incident resolution (L1/L2), create root cause analysis documents,  triage with L3 support teams where appropriate

• Monitor data pipelines, Tableau dashboard refresh schedules, SQL jobs, take proactive actions to remediate the issues 

• Provide support with data quality issues, backfilling, data correction

• Provide CI/CD, Azure DevOps support to data engineers onboarding new data products, assist with debugging, code reviews, change control management 

• Document and knowledge share operations processes with the wider team 

• Run incident triage, change review meeting with wider stakeholders

• Work closely with data scientists, data analysts, and wider stakeholders to understand data needs, guide them to platform standards and processes

• Contribute to continual service improvement and optimisation 

• Available on support-call support during public holidays if needed

To be successful in the role of Senior DevOps Engineer at EstimateOne, you'll have a deep understanding and practical experience across several core areas of DevSecOps and cloud engineering as well as knowledge of code. Demonstrated expertise in AWS services and a strong grasp of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, is essential. Furthermore, the ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines is crucial.

Ideal candidates will bring experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, Fargate) and familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, employing tools like Buildkite for automation and DataDog for monitoring. A strong programming background is essential; familiarity with languages such as Go, Python, or NodeJS is beneficial, though prowess in any advanced and efficient language, including exciting alternatives like Elixir or boring ones like Java. A commitment to security and networking best practices is mandatory.

We are putting out an Expression of Interest for a highly experienced Senior System Engineer with a strong background in Citrix to join our team in Richmond. We are exploring the recruitment of this position circa July 2024 and would like applicants to be aware of delayed timelines in reponses to applications.

As a Senior System Engineer, you will be providing platform support services to our important customers in Australia and around the region. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering top-notch services and managing client infrastructure.

You will be part of a team that supports a large fleet of Citrix/Virtualisation technology based issues, requests that are escalated to you by the customer and service desk team.

Responsibilities

• Provide third level technical expertise and operational support for the infrastructure services related requests and issues predominantly with Citrix, Active Directory and Group Policy Management, Basic Networking, Microsoft Azure for Citrix Cloud
• Proactively engage customers to discuss strategy and tailor solutions to meet all necessary requirements.
• Be the final escalation point for such technical knowledge and expertise related enquiries and issues.
• Ensure escalations are resolved on a timely basis according to the SLA
• Lead workshops that identify trends and problems within customer environments
• Develop new solutions that improve our customer environments as value-add initiatives
• Develop permanent corrective fixes and deploy following appropriate change processes
