The client is looking to fill a full time position for a skilled and experienced Accountant. As a crucial member of the management team, primarily you will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting functions for the group stores and company as a whole. You will be involved with the full accounting cycle, from initial transaction to reporting and statutory filing. The role reports to the Director and involves assisting him in all accounting and financial areas of the business. Regular liaison with key stakeholders of the business is an important function of the role. In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Manage and close the month end process, quarterly and annual (P&L, BS), accurately and in line with deadlines
• Prepare annual budgets in liaison with key stake holders
• Report monthly on budget to actuals
• Follow sales entries, results and reconcile proceeds
• Preparation of company and Individual income tax returns
• Preparation of financial statements
• Preparation of Payroll Tax, PAYG, BAS returns and FBT returns
• Assist in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies
• Examine operating costs and the income and expenditure
• Provide assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports
• Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
• Liaise with tax advisors
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial management reports for senior management
• Analyze revenue and expenditure against budget
• Coordinate with business & operation regular physical inventory count and physical fixed asset count.

You will need to possess the following skills and personal attributes:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

About the role

This is an exciting role for a Senior Business Analyst to join EstimateOne, which will see you bridge the gap between various stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the software solutions delivered align with business goals and user needs. 

This team has a broad and deep remit spanning Subscription, Billing and Payments (SBP) enablement and commercialisation. The main project that the team is working on is building functionality to enable SBP, in particular, migrating to Chargebee as our subscription management platform as well as supporting enabling tooling such as GoCardless and Salesforce.

This Senior Business Analyst role will support the team's delivery by:

• Ensuring stakeholders are both heard and kept up to date about the team
• Capturing and communicating system requirements for the team
• Documenting and communicating system functionality for users 
• Facilitating stakeholder training, usage and handover through communication, training,  documentation and sign-off of system functionality.
• Supporting the team's delivery, ways of working and continuous improvement
• Working with a range of wider stakeholders including the CTO, Engineering Manager, Engineers, Product Manager, Chief Customer & Commercial Officer, General managers and Head of Functions (Finance, Design, Sales, etc). 

In addition, the role will take on some project management and coordination responsibilities taking a disciplined macro view of time, resource, budget, risk and issue management.
