Our Aquila Mine has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Officer to join the team on a permanent basis, based in Middlemount, QLD. The Environment Officer supports all aspects of the environment function for the underground operation. Working together with Environment team and Operations, this role will see you contribute to driving the environmental performance of the mine, maintain compliance to corporate and legislative requirements and deliver on the Annual Environmental Plan.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Environmental team to deliver targets safely, optimally, and in accordance with the Annual Mine Plan.
• Participating in the monitoring, analysis, and reporting on programs for land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water, and waste.
• Support the development and implementation of Environmental Management plans and systems to improve site environmental performance such as land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water and waste.
• Assist the Environmental Team regarding environmental concerns and actions in order to address them in a timely and effective manner.
• Inform and educate management, supervisors and employees about the EMS and provide coaching to ensure a high level of awareness, commitment and compliance with EMS processes and guidelines.
• Managing onsite routine monitoring and compliance with license conditions.
• Review of the site environmental management systems (EMS).
• Provide compliance related advice to operations personnel where required.
• Produce timely and accurate reports and plans, including statutory documentation, as required.
• Support environmental corporate and regulatory reporting and assurance activities.  
• Land disturbance advice and permitting.
• Monitoring of site disturbance activities to ensure compliance to legislative requirements.
• Support in the management of contractors and projects on-site related to the Environmental works.

We are looking for a Quality and Compliance Officer to join our team. Candidates for this opportunity should be Registered Nurses. While this is a full-time work from home (WFH) position, regular intrastate and interstate travel will be necessary to visit our facilities located in regional and remote areas of Tasmania, Victoria, and NSW. This is a 6-month contract with possibility of permanency.

The Position:

The role of a Quality and Compliance Officer involves offering support and assistance to the Quality Manager in ensuring the efficient monitoring of compliance functions and the implementation of various quality-related initiatives.

Requirements of the Role:

• Undertake a range of audits against the accreditation standards related to residential aged care.
• Work collaboratively with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in identifying areas for continuous improvement to support quality and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in the development of projects to support quality and compliance.
• Assist and support the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in the development and implementation of best practice policy and process.
• Develop and maintain a high level working knowledge of the electronic clinical support systems.
• Assist and support the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in developing, conveying and delivering on individual and organisational plans for continuous improvement.
• Maintain documented evidence of the organisations Quality Management Systems across all sites.
• Risk identification and mitigation.
• Trending and analysis.
• Preparation for external regulator visits including reaccreditation.
• Assistance with Gap Analysis and on-site support.
• Education including Quality related education as required by Facility or State.
• Oversight and support of clinical practice/medication practice.
• Attendance at internal and external meetings – as required by the business or at the direction of Chief Quality and Risk Officer.
• Attendance at announced/unannounced commission visits as needed.
• Care Manager support.
• Orientation of new management team members.
• Understand, comply with and report in line with the Serious Incident Reporting Scheme (SIRS).
• Oversight of facilities to ensure compliance that is delivered within the framework of Respect’s policies and procedures, legislative requirements, and meet the relevant service standards.
• Any other task as directed by the Chief Quality and Risk Officer.

Essential:

• Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• High level ability to utilise information management and computer systems.
• Working knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles of the Aged Care Act, Documentation Standards, Residents Rights, Aged Care Funding Instrument and other relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practices.
• Sound communication skills.
• NDIS Worker Screening certification.

Desirable:

• Formal qualification in quality management frameworks.

About you

We have an exciting vacancy for a customer focused Receptionist/Administrator to be an integral part of our team.  This role would suit an experienced and compassionate person who enjoys being a part of a community based organisation, that has previous experience in a health or medical setting, along with demonstrated experience/interest in working with young people.

What would your day look like:

• Meet and greet (clients, members of the public, staff and other professionals) ensuring the highest standards of customer focus
• Register clients attending the centre and inform relevant clinicians of their arrival, for both Primary consulting and Youth health clinics
• Maintain a high standard of customer service by handling all customer queries including informing clients of delays in a courteous, friendly and helpful manner
• Participate in weekend work (every second Saturday at headspace Narre Warren) and participate in after-hours work if required
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence including emails
• Ensure the integrity of the clinical filing system and records are maintained in all software programs used for the Primary consulting and Youth health clinic services
• Data entry of client information into headspace databases

Working days will be Tues/Wed/Thurs 9.54am to 6.00pm, and will work across both our Narre Warren and Pakenham sites.  There is scope to cover weekend work (every second Saturday at headspace Narre Warren) if there are staff absences. You may be asked to participate in after-hours work if deemed necessary.
