• Manage day-to-day operations of a the Treasure Cove gaming and bar venue within Sofitel
• Ensure compliance with all gaming and liquor regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local repeat clientele and hotel guests
• Monitor and optimize venue performance, including financials and customer experience
• Oversee food and beverage service to ensure high standards
• Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Head Chef to promote bar and dining options in your venue

• Assisting the creative team on product development and approvals for fashion, living, consumables, beauty and care categories.
• Receiving, sending & unpacking samples.
• Storeroom coordination including organising samples, creative displays and storage organisation
• Assist the product development process including product safety and final sample stage
• Assist with reviewing strike offs & pre-production samples including receiving parcels and initial checks
• Assist with the release of assets including Asset Release forms
• Compiling images and photographing product for international presentations such as look books.
• Office support duties – ie: arranging couriers & post as needed.
• Design briefs including new product development and packaging concepts.
• Ad hoc projects and tasks as required
• Assisting Consumer Products team by creating research documents and undertaking competitor analysis
• Assist in the preparation of targeted pitch presentations for potential licensees, partners and retailers
• Presentation of project to the management team at the end of internship

• Implement creative and effective visual merchandising strategies that make the store look stunning and drive sales.

The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel is looking for an Operations Manager to join our brand new Pipe and Tube mill team based in Unanderra. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

The Pipe and Tube mill in Unanderra is Orrcon Steels newest capability. Opening at the end of June this year, this cutting-edge facility represents a significant milestone in our commitment to innovation and excellence in steel manufacturing. Equipped with the latest technology, this is a unique opportunity to join our team.

This is a newly added role to our team structure. Still being in ‘start-up’ phase, you’re someone who is excited by the opportunity to impart your Manufacturing Excellence knowledge. You’ll enjoy navigating ambiguity to shape, design and embed standard operating procedures and metrics that enable safety, quality and solution-based outcomes.

What Will You Do?

Leading your team and collaborating with key stakeholders in the business, you will:

More About You

With significant experience in operations, manufacturing or distribution you will bring:

• experience in either directly or indirectly managing, leading and engaging a high performing team
• proven ability to continuously improve business processes
• a customer centric approach with an aptitude to translate customers key requirements into new and improved product service solutions
• an understanding of the linkage between production, supply chain and logistics streams and the ability to develop strategies which align our current capability with our customers and market requirements
• demonstrated commercial acumen including the ability to understand and manage budgets
