Located in the Ibis Styles Hobart, Mr Good Guy takes you deep into the night markets of Asia, allowing our guests to experience the hawker food found in the backstreets and laneways of South-East Asia in the heart of Hobart. You will join our Food & Beverage team and assist in the smooth operation of our F&B outlets. Your food and beverage knowledge is unrivalled. What you'll be doing:

• Use the hotel systems to process and input all reservations types in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Maintain a positive selling approach to maximise yield in both occupancy and rates.
• Possess strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow and workload individually and across the team.
• Respond to guest calls according to hotel policy and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
• Co-ordinate group reservations.
• Ensure arrivals list is checked on a daily basis to displaying correct rate and market codes.
• Ensure accurate data is recorded for all reservations.

The Position:
Under the direction of the Chef/Cook, the Food Services Assistant is responsible to contribute to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Food Safety Program (FSP); and the provision of a variety of quality food and beverages to meet the resident’s individual needs and preferences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to menu planning to meet the resident’s needs and preferences.
• Preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with the FSP.
• General cleaning in accordance with the FSP.
• Assist with the monitoring and recording requirements of the FSP. Examples include recording temperatures and receipting goods.
• Ensures the friendly and timely delivery of meals and refreshments to all residents.
• Participates in the ongoing quality review of the FSP.
• Report any concerns/difficulties experienced with care recipients in relation to food and beverages to the Registered Nurse In Charge.
• Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation.

Essential:

• Food Handling Course.
• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
• Experience in residential aged care food services.
• Experience in hospitality or catering.
