Global mining organization seeking hands-on Business Systems Analyst Your new company
A global mining organization with operations throughout Australia are seeking a hands-on Business Systems Analyst (akin to a Technical Business Analyst) to work across the business to not only support all systems in use, but to take them through a continuous improvement journey! Focusing on systems that underpin the running of the business, this role is crucial to not only their technical growth, but all aspects of their operations.
Your new role
With their global headquarters located overseas, this international conglomerate conducts mining, energy and resource extraction services across multiple continents and countries. Domestically, with their Australian HQ in Brisbane's CBD, over the past few years they have been building their presence throughout the state by replicating their global successful business model locally. As part of this they have grown to be one of Australia's largest minerals producers with mine sites all over the country.
Your new role within this conglomerate will see you work across one of their fastest growing dedicated business units to develop, support and manage crucial business technologies in use by thousands. Reporting into the Director of Strategy & Innovation, you will partner with both internal stakeholders and external technical vendors to apply your business system and functional support experience to enhance this organisations operations.
As their hands-on Business Systems Analyst, your multi-faceted role will cover a mixture of technical, continuous improvement, project management, vendor management, stakeholder partnership and business analytics orientated duties.
Specifically, this position will see you undertake the following:
Technical Support - Focusing on the Microsoft eco system (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, PowerBI, SharePoint, etc), you will act as an escalation point that the users will first turn too to resolve issues.
Vendor Management - Partnering with specialised external technology vendors, you will appropriately escalate technical issues that cannot be resolved internally. You will also manage these to ensure systems upgrades, deployments and migrations are completed to a high standard.
Continuous Improvement - You will work across the business to identify areas for improvement whether they be technological, process or operational orientated. Once recognised and understood, you will offer solutions to best service the organisation.
Technical Adoption - Increasing the understanding and usage of solutions across the organisation to get the most return of investment on technologies.
Change Management - Ensuring new technologies are deployed in a manger to best suit not only the business, but the users as well. This includes training actives, workshop facilitation, etc.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience across as much of the following as possible:
The Microsoft eco system (Power Platform, D365, SharePoint, etc)
Functional business systems (e.g. ERP's, CRM;s, HRIS's, etc)
Gather and translate technical and non-technical requirements
Partnering with individuals across all levels of an organization (including relationship building)
Change management actives
Vendor and project management
Business analytics
Continuous improvement, digital innovation and/or technical transformations
The creation of use cases, workflows and technical specifications amongst other documentation
Technical mindset
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
