Job Description:
The System Administrator for the group, overseeing multiple Romano’s Pizzeria locations and two dine-in restaurants—Johnny's Kebab, Burgers & Grill, and Sinatra Pizza & Café—located in various suburban areas across Perth, WA, will play a critical role in managing the IT infrastructure, network systems, and operational technology specific to the restaurant and pizzeria industry.
Job Salary: $75000 Plus Superannuation.
Position: Fulltime.
Location: Multiple Locations (The Group Office is situated at 15 Treeline Pde Southern River WA 6110).
Qualification Required: Relevant Bachelor Degree( Computer Applications or IT).
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Experience as a system Administrator.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing restaurant-specific IT infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain servers, network systems, and POS (Point-of-Sale) configurations to ensure seamless daily operations, including order processing, payment systems, and kitchen display systems at all restaurant locations.
2. Backup, recovery, and security protocols: Establish comprehensive backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to protect critical restaurant data, such as sales records, customer orders, and inventory management. Ensure that security controls are in place to prevent data breaches or system failures.
3. System monitoring and performance optimisation: Continuously monitor the performance of POS systems, network traffic, and server health to ensure smooth, efficient restaurant operations. Resolve issues proactively to prevent service interruptions during peak hours.
Security and PCI compliance: Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls, to protect customer payment data and ensure compliance with PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards across all locations. Manage secure access to systems for restaurant staff.
4. Vendor and service provider management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to maintain and support industry-specific systems, such as POS platforms, kitchen order systems, and payment processing solutions. Monitor and enforce service level agreements to guarantee minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
5. Restaurant-specific troubleshooting and user support: Provide on-site and remote support to troubleshoot issues with restaurant-specific hardware and software, such as POS terminals, kitchen display units, printers, and networking equipment. Quickly diagnose and resolve problems to minimise downtime during service hours.
6. IT documentation and training: Create and maintain detailed documentation of all IT systems, network configurations, and operational procedures specific to the restaurant industry. Develop and deliver training materials for restaurant staff on how to use POS systems and other technology effectively.
7. System upgrades and scalability: Evaluate and recommend upgrades for POS systems, payment processors, and network infrastructure to accommodate the growing needs of the business, including mobile ordering, online reservations, and third-party delivery integrations.
Hardware and software management: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of all IT hardware, including POS terminals, receipt printers, kitchen displays, routers, and workstations, ensuring all equipment is optimised for restaurant operations and kept up to date with the latest software versions.
8. Disaster recovery and business continuity: Develop restaurant-specific disaster recovery plans to ensure that, in the event of system failures or data loss, each location can resume normal operations quickly, with minimal impact on customer service.
Network performance for multiple locations: Monitor and optimise the network performance at all restaurant locations, ensuring that systems like POS, inventory tracking, online ordering, and customer loyalty programs operate smoothly and efficiently, even during high-volume periods.
This position is essential to the success of all restaurant locations, ensuring the reliable operation of critical IT systems that support order processing, customer payments, inventory management, and day-to-day operations. The System Administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting the fast-paced demands of the restaurant and pizzeria industry.
