As the Sales Associate your biggest job will be to delight and amaze our customers when they are visiting site to test drive, or when you are delivering or picking up their car. You will be supported by an enthusiastic, energetic team of people who are also customer-first, and you will receive all the necessary training you need to succeed in this role. We are looking for people with a genuine passion for customer service first and foremost - coupled with a positive outlook, and proactive “can-do” attitude. You will need a valid driver’s license for this role and be prepared to undergo a police and background check and clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Be the “face” of Cars24 to our customers when customers book a test drive at site
• Go above and beyond to delight and amaze our customers, with a warm attitude, exceptional communication skills and a highly professional demeanor - so much so that they would want to tell their friends all about their experience with Cars24
• Be able to build trust with your customers by being timely, reliable and communicative - no problem is too hard for you.
• Liaise closely with the customer operations team to ensure the right cars are ready for inspection, and delivered on the right delivery vehicle and route, to the right person on file, with the right specifications
• Liaise closely with the customer operations team on administrative tasks and ensure all paperwork required at the point of handover is completed smoothly, with minimal hassle
• Be willing to learn how to assess a car for delivery or pick-up; we will provide training and operating protocols to guide you
• Help shape and support the development of customer-facing processes in our new business - we’re writing the playbook as we go
• Customer satisfaction metrics will be your performance indicator
• Conduct test drives with customers, and be a great listener, ask the right questions and close the sale.

• Car knowledge (nice to have) - you know the ins and outs of most makes and models (can pair a phone with a car’s infotainment system / take a customer through the ‘quirky’ features of a European car)
• You need to have a valid full driver’s license for this role
• You are flexible and are willing to work after hours and weekends, based on a rotating roster.
• Have the ability to make a sale, close a customer and see the sale through from enquiry to delivery.

• Delivering and picking up cars to customers in a safe and timely manner
• Proactively help resolve customer issues on the spot - no problem is too hard for you
• Be able to action and complete condition reports with precision
• Liaise closely with the customer operations team to ensure the right car is delivered on the right delivery vehicle and route, to the right person, with the right specifications
• Liaise closely with the customer operations team on administrative tasks and ensure all paperwork required at the point of handover is completed smoothly, with minimal hassle
• Conduct car inspections on regular basis.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years customer service experience in a well-known retail environment, where you engaged and served customers face-to-face
• You’re a solid team player working within a big organisation, who is revving to do something different and be a part of a team that will change how cars are bought and sold in Australia

About the role

Initially we are looking for someone to join our team on a 3-month contract with a view of being made permanent after the initial contract period.
