O’Brien Body & Paint Gatton Pty Ltd are currently seeking a trade qualified Vehicle Painter for a fulltime/permanent position to join our team at Gatton, QLD (1 hr West of Brisbane, 20 minutes from Toowoomba.
O’Brien Body & Paint is a reputable and well-known business within the Smash repairs Industry and local area servicing most of the major insurance companies including RACQ, SUNCORP, AAMI, BUDGET, YOUI and private customers. The successful applicant should have the following:
Preparing the surfaces of vehicles, matches and mixes colours and applies paint
Removing rough spots on vehicle panels and sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders; applying primer and finishing coat using spray guns.
Buffing and detailing vehicles
Basic cleaning and tending to your work bay and workshop
Skills and experience:
Trade certificate or similar industry experience
Ability to confidently use spray painting equipment (water based preferred)
High attention to detail
Current driver’s license
Possess a positive and mature attitude
Well-presented and reliable
Work as part of a team
Ability to work unsupervised
Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
