Are you a hospitality all-rounder and a great communicator with a passion for people and service?  If you’re looking to be part of a friendly, close-knit, customer-centric team, we're looking for cleaners to work at our mine site at Gove, Nhulunbuy, NT.  Fly-In-Fly-Out from Darwin or Cairns to Gove working 14days on and 7days off for 10hours per day. Flights, meals, accommodation and uniforms provided.

Who are we looking for?  

Our Service Attendants are team players. They have a can-do attitude, are flexible to work across many departments and always remain focused on safety and service delivery. You are the 'backbone' of our remote sites team. You’ll contribute extensively to the effective day to day operations and provide a service for customers, ensuring that each experience is as close to that feeling of being in a home away from home. To be successful, you’ll need:   

• Australian manual drivers licence is a must 

• Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights  

• Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check  

We’d love to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience in hospitality such as catering, housekeeping, grounds maintenance, cleaning or bar and retail.  Working on-site with our teams means you’ll be working 10 hours per day on a 2:1 roster (two weeks at work and one week at home), often in extreme environments. So, having a good level of fitness will help you get through each day!

What would your day look like?

This is a full-time role based out at our site in Nhulunbuy NT. 14 days on, 7 days off, 10-hour working day in our housekeeping/domestic cleaning team however you may be asked to work in other areas including but not limited to mine site cleaning, laundry, kitchen hand, and dining room attendants.

Duties include: 

Housekeepers and cleaners  are service minded, with a desire to help improve quality of life for village residents living and working away from home.  Working as a Service Attendant you will mostly clean residents donga’s and bathroom/toilet areas, change out linen, restock supplies; however on occasions support in other operational areas if required. 

• Working across a range of functions to support operational needs 

• Housekeeping/Cleaning accommodation rooms aka: “dongas” 

• Assisting in the Kitchen and Dining Room service areas 

• Mine Site Cleaning of Offices, Crib rooms and Ablution Blocks 

• Providing customer service in the Tavern or Retail shop 

• Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas and grounds 

What does it take to work FIFO? 
The FIFO lifestyle can be very rewarding but it isn’t for everyone. Consider what to expect and what is required of you when assessing your options: 

• Ability to work 10-12-hour shifts, day or night shifts as required 

• Ability to endure remote environment in extreme heat or weather conditions
