Hays Trades and Labour is partnering with a leading provider of plumbing solutions based in Melbourne's South East, specialising in commercial, industrial, and residential plumbing. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they are committed to delivering high-quality services to their clients and are seeking an experienced Plumbing Manager to assist with their operations. This position has arisen due to an increase in business volume and large contracts being won.
Your new role
As an experienced Plumbing Manager, you will be working as part of the senior leadership team overseeing the company's commercial arm and have a team of three direct reports. On a day to day day, you will be responsible for management and planning, business development and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in industrial plumbing or civil engineering and have a strong understanding of project management principles, and exceptional leadership skills to drive team performance and achieve business objectives. Direct and oversee daily plumbing operations to ensure efficient service delivery
Implement best practices for quality control, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards
Develop strategic plans and objectives for the plumbing department in alignment with company goals
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall organisational effectiveness
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the client base and increase revenue
What you'll need to succeed
Trade Qualification in industrial plumbing or civil engineering
Proven experience in plumbing operations and management, with experience in a supervisory role
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage time effectively
Experience in contract management and ability to manage stakeholders
