Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare meats of various sizes and display in appealing manner.
• Weighing, packaging and pricing the products.
• Prepare spices, season and marinate the meat.
• Able to operate different cutting machines and showcase skills in cutting, trimming, mincing and grinding.
• Choosing and preparing meat to create processed meat products.
• Performing quality checks in meats and other related products.
• Keeping records of sales, budgets and inventories.
• Negotiating and confirming orders with suppliers.

Job Requirements
• At least 2 years’ experience in the related field

KEY / SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality of food offering
• Check deliveries, making sure what is ordered is received in an acceptable condition and at a safe temperature
• Ensure all dishes served consistently reflects agreed standards of quality and presentation
• Immediately inform sous chef or head Chef if any issues with achieving above
• All storage of items under control must be carried out in a hygienic and responsible manner

Communication

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or at least three years of work experience may substitute the formal qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Chef in a 5-star hotel, large-scale restaurant and/or reputable catering company.
