Our Team

Our Airspace Mobility Solutions team creates, develops and deploys air traffic management systems that are critical for safe aircraft movement. With products covering 40% of the world’s airspace, we enable the safe take-off and landing of 2 in 3 aircrafts globally.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role

The position of the Network Strategy Manager – Fleet is responsible for leading the development of strategic plans and delivery roadmaps for TGE Fleet operations and broader TGE Network operational strategies.

This role will drive the strategy and capital planning processes to ensure that the fleet is standardised, working optimally, maximising organisational efficiencies and service performance.
 

Beyond Fleet strategy, this position will be required lead on the design and delivery of operational transformation projects and capability to execute the broader network operations strategy.  A key responsibility of this role is to maximise network standardisation and optimisation to deliver improvement in network performance, while ensuring the Network is ready to meet the future needs of the business and the customers we serve.
 

Exercising excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across Functional and Divisional operational teams within the TGE network, this position is pivotal to enabling long term operational readiness, driving operational efficiencies and customer service delivery outcomes.
 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead a small team to develop and deliver the overall network fleet strategy for operations, including the development and implementation of a long term plan, in line with customer requirements and broader TGE network development strategy (network, fleet, site).

• Strategic development of the fleet model and associated capital planning processes, ensuring the fleet model it is aligned to the organisational objectives, meet the future needs of the business and the markets it serves.

• Develop fleet and other network design blueprints and project plans to ensure Network standardisation objectives are met.

• Conduct network capacity modelling on a rolling 3 – 5 year timeframe, actively managing the Network Footprint and associated Fleet strategy and Assets to support growth and efficiency

• Coordinate with divisional operations managers on supply forecast inputs, identifying service risks and opportunities (latent capacity)

• Prepare Strategy and capital planning presentation content for operations & communication.

• Support operations team education on Network capability, including transformation project scopes and deliverables, developing fit for purpose tools (process & systems)

• Own, govern and maintain the data integrity of all key design inputs to the Network strategy Fleet plan and broader Network strategy as required.

• In conjunction with the NOC Planning team, conduct scenario analysis for the supply plan and re-forecasting as required to facilitate operational decision-making and identification of transformation project priorities

• Work in a manner that is not harmful to one’s own health and safety and the health and safety of others

We are seeking Senior Software Engineer/s with a focus on the backend (Ideally with solid AWS experience) who are excited to help us expand our product offerings. You will be given the opportunity to work on some Greenfield projects and modern technology.

Additionally, you will meet with your manager to establish short-term and long-term goals aligning with the team's objectives and GXE's overarching priorities.

In the first three months…

You will escalate your involvement by taking charge of small to medium-sized features or projects, engaging in every phase from product definition and design to implementation, deployment, and documentation. You'll showcase your leadership by presenting these projects to the team. Collaboration with stakeholders and clients will be key to gathering requirements and ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals. You'll actively participate in GXE's quarterly planning, contributing to the documentation process through various means, such as writing tickets, updating technical documentation, and preparing design documents. • Install, configure, maintain, and support AutoCAD suite of products, 12D Synergy / Modelling, TuFlow modelling, BlueBeam and QGIS with the ability to package the applications using Intune or SCCM.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems with existing applications.
• Recommend improvements to existing applications and prepare proposals for new software development projects.
• Perform quality assurance testing on new applications to ensure they meet industry standards for functionality and usability.

Your day to day will include:

• Thinking about and developing innovative solutions to previously unsolved road safety problems.
• Maintaining and continuously improving software products by contributing to the code base.
• Reducing toil through automation to improve both operational and engineering efficiency.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers while demonstrating our core values.
• Contributing to a shared knowledge base through technical documentation.
• Participating in pre-sales activities by providing technical input to sales team.
• Taking ownership of projects and seeing things through to completion, including non- coding tasks.
• Setting and improving existing standards for development practices.
