About the Role

Crown Equipment is currently seeking an individual to join the technology team based in our Perth location as a Technology Solutions Advisor. If you are looking for a dynamic, engaging and customer centric role focused on industrial technology, this opportunity is for you. In your next role you will be solution orientated, advising customers on the best technology products for their application. 

The Technology Solutions Advisor will utilise telematics data to assist customers with the most appropriate technology products for their application. In this role, you will be solution orientated, joining our APAC team working with a variety of 3PL, retail, FMCG, pharmaceutical, grocery, manufacturing, production, and defence customers to provide unique offerings for their applications within Crown’s technology portfolio. You will work with a team including support, project management, and account management to bring these solutions to realisation.

Responsibilities & Duties Include

• Retain & develop existing technology products business through customer site visits.
• Communicate key data points for quarterly business reviews to local Crown Account Manager 
• Build relationships with customers, building trust to ensure a solid foundation for presenting data-based findings. 
• Attend customer sites and present the technology product range where necessary. 
• Work with the existing customer base to transition them to the most suitable technology product offering for their needs. 
• Attend product training sessions & maintain a high level of Crown product & industry knowledge. 
• Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation. 

Skills & Experience

• Intermediate computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• Customer Service experience is desired
• Administration experience 
• Strong organisational skills
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to travel up to 1 - 2 weeks per month for customer meetings as required from time to time
• Drivers License

About the Role (Your why)

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for providing onsite and offsite network support for our clients’ environment. You are expected to provide exceptional levels of service and assistance to rectify and solve issues as they are reported. This will be achieved by your ability to work across variety of teams to provide high-level technical support for data network systems, including an ability to create and maintain network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards.

This role will be based in our Perth office. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

To be eligible for this role you must either be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Network Engineer you will be focused on:

• Support customer network environment/s
• Establish and nurture relationships with appropriate staff both within Datacom and our clients
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to more junior staff
• Perform reporting duties
• Liaise with Professional services and Sales Teams

You will have the opportunity to continue developing your expertise in working with technologies including Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPN & Remote access, VoIP, WLAN, and Load Balancers. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to the latest in technology and to continue learning as we introduce new services and products for our clients.

What You’ll Bring

Required technical experience:

• Understanding of Networking principles and practical application
• Experience in engineering and administration of multiprotocols, multilayer switches including LAN protocols, BGP, RIP, NAT, OSPF/EIGRP, TCP/IP and Wireless (Cisco, Aerohive, Fortinet, Aruba)
• Experience with router and switch technology as well as working knowledge in protocol analysis. Includes ability to configure, deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot
• Experience with DNS configuration and management
• Exposure to Cloud Solutions: Azure, AWS
• Experience with analysis and implementation of Firewall requests
• Experience with diagnosis and troubleshooting using firewall analysis tools
• Experience with supporting VPNs
• Experience with IP address management, NAT and PAT
• Industry certifications are highly regarded
• Holds CCNA Certification, CCNP preferred
• Load Balancing: F5, Citrix Netscaler, Global Server Load Balancing
• Firewall/Network Security: Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, Palo Alto, IPS, and VPN
• Contribution to continuous improvement security processes and strategies
• Provide technical solutions through project delivery and design teams to meet operational needs
