Online Optimisation You will be working on a start-up project creating a new software system used in the manufacturing and parts industry. You will need experience but also the ability to learn new skills and innovate as the system will cover a lot of new areas software has not covered before. We are a small family company that works from a home office 90 minutes South West of Sydney. Responsibilities include the following: Accountable for the delivery of tasks within tight timeframes involving Agile development methods. Follow the outlined development lifecycle, which may include analysis, design, building, testing, documenting, implementation, and maintenance Work collaboratively with local and remote team members. Also, onsite visits to clients’ warehouses and workshops. Must have own transport. Undertake problem solving and incident resolution and demonstrate an understanding of change control and release management procedures. These projects are high traffic and rely on high uptime. Use experience and technical skills to design, implement and support workable solutions. Develop and maintain necessary levels of expertise with outside training and take responsibility for sharing knowledge with others. Work as part of a team and provide direct application support to customers. Skills and Experience required Experience in working with warehousing and machinery hardware using software is essential. Experience creating software to read different inputs such as Serial RS232. Strong experience creating software to work directly with POS, Scales, Eftpos, printers, barcode scanner and other hardware interfaces. Experience in Windows software development in C++ and QT Libraries. Strong experience in Javascript: Vue.js, electron, angular, NodeJs Experience in coding Magento, including creating custom extensions. Experience in coding WordPress, including creating custom plugins and themes Strong experience Web Development experience e.g. C#, .NET, Web, Golang, Services, API's, HTML and CSS Technical knowledge in server administration, specifically using AWS and Nginx. Experience developing & supporting e-commerce applications Experience in project planning, preparation and execution Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation Ability to gather business requirements and assist with the design of applications and testing Experience working in Agile development environments Experience working with Content Management Systems Australian working rights with no restrictions on hours Experience in building efficient, secure, testable, and reusable object-oriented PHP 7+ code. Experience in creating bot scripts for crawling code. Strong experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, RPC). Proficient understanding of code management tools, such as Git, Gitlab, etc. Strong Linux experience, with the ability to perform common development tasks via the console. Strong experience with SQL databases and their declarative query languages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to develop effective relationships with internal staff, external contractors, suppliers, clients and stakeholders.
