About the Job

Your Role

We are conducting an Expression of Interest for Air Traffic Control Instructors to work within the OneSKY operational training team, providing specialist operational training analysis, curriculum design, training product development and training delivery for the OneSKY program.

Core duties include:

• Conducting assessments on future required training (i.e. Training Needs Analysis)
• Developing the course curriculum and training materials (including practical simulation exercises) to satisfy the outcome of these assessments
• Delivering ATC systems training (including pseudo-pilot functions)
• Managing exercise environments
• Conducting training evaluations and reviews
• Providing ATC systems training advice to the OneSKY program
• Working to budget, quality and schedule requirements

Your Experience:

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:

• Designing and developing practical air traffic control simulation exercises for use in a formal training environment
• Designing, developing and delivering training courses
• Providing workplace training and assessment (or similar) and ideally hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or higher)

How you'll spend your time

This role will vary from day to day. It will always be interesting but might include: 

• Working side-by-side with our ‘dream team’ of writers, teachers, simulation designers, illustrators, animators and editors to make the best science resource in the known universe.
• Rolling out new engineering delights in our libraries to ensure teachers and students always have access to our most up-to-date content and features. 
• Working closely with the Head of Curriculum and Pedagogy to assist in the writing and publishing of teacher resources.
• Supporting our amazing video production team in writing scripts, testing labs and coordinating filming on set. You may even be asked to step in front of the camera from time to time!
• Raving on about the latest and coolest science news with other “science nerds” in our communal kitchen at lunchtime.
• Coordinating and facilitating in-house and on-site student testing sessions for our work-in-progress resources and fostering a great sense of community with one of our main stakeholder groups.

Hours and location

This is a full-time, permanent role with some flexible work hours. We really value collaboration and about three days in the work week are in person in the office but we also really value focus time and this can be done at home or in the office, whatever works for you! We are currently seeking a skilled Multimedia Editor and Videographer to join our team in creating exceptional video content for our online courses. In this role, you will be responsible for shooting, editing, and producing high-quality videos that align with the educational objectives and brand standards of OES.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Learning Design team to understand the learning objectives and requirements for each video project
• Plan and execute video shoots, including lighting, audio, and camera setup
• Edit and post-produce videos, ensuring visual and audio quality, smooth transitions, and adherence to brand guidelines
• Create motion graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance video content
• Manage video assets, including storage, organization, and version control
• Stay up-to-date with video editing and production techniques, as well as emerging trends in multimedia

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a multimedia editor and videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your video production and editing skills
• Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• Excellent understanding of camera work, lighting techniques, and audio recording
• Strong creative and storytelling abilities, with an eye for detail and aesthetics
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Visiting schools with our amazing account managers to hear about teachers’ and students’ experiences at the coal-face and road-test new units and resources.

Diamond Creek Memorial Kindergarten is a not for profit community kindergarten with three campuses (2 x Diamond Creek and another in Panton Hill). The community Kindergarten was established in 1965 and are passionate about meeting the needs of our local community and maintaining an exceeding rating under the National Quality Standards.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate early childhood teacher (full time) who will team teach across both 3 and 3 year old curriculum.
This position will suit a new graduate, but a fully registered teacher is preferred.
A background in the field of early childhood is preferred with a commitment to education for sustainability and an ability to ensure children are at the core of all decisions as they design curriculum.

Salary is as per the VECTEA20 but work conditions include first aid training, professional development and working within a highly experienced team with high child:educator ratios.
