As a VCE tutor at Contour, rather than tutoring one student at a time, you can now motivate groups of students with your knowledge and experience without the hassle of more admin work and finding students.

You’ve probably spent hundreds of unpaid hours making tutoring resources for your students. We know it can be an extremely time-consuming process, and arguably one of the more boring and tedious parts of being a tutor. But that’s where we come in! We’ve spent thousands of hours creating resources and detailed notes for VCE subjects. All we need now is you—the tutor!

All you have to do is prepare for your tutoring session by reading over the class workbooks beforehand, and provide an excellent tutoring experience to your students :)

Competitive Pay and Compensation

We pride ourselves on compensating and rewarding our tutors for their hard work. The starting rate ranges from $90 to $160 per 2-hour class (exc. Super) depending on the size of the classes you take. If you're already a veteran tutor, then apply for our senior tutor role and the rates can only get higher as you pick up more classes, show dedication to Contour, and contribute to the success of your students!

We've also introduced a new compensation model since 2024 where you'll also share part of the revenue generated by your classes. We want you to feel rewarded for introducing students to Contour and doing a great job at making them happy, so if Contour grows, you'll grow with it!

In some circumstances, if you already have private students but want to transfer them over to Contour, we can potentially even provide payouts so you can move all your tutoring work to us. Win-win!

Minimal Admin Work

There is almost no requirement for admin work. All you have to do is take simple attendance, manage student emails, and address student questions promptly outside of class via social media/text/email. Our support teams organise class days and times, following up on missed attendance, managing payments and enrolments, so you can just focus on the student and tutoring. However, If you’d like to create additional resources for us or do more non-tutoring work, we can also organise tailored payment plans to suit your needs :)

In this role, you will be the go-to person for managing the billing process, ensuring smooth enrolment operations, and supporting our customer service and sales teams with timely invoicing and account updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Management: Edit and manage invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness, addressing any necessary adjustments promptly.
• Debt Collection: Communicate with students and parents regarding overdue invoices through phone calls, emails, and texts, maintaining our commitment to friendly and respectful interactions.
• Enrolment Coordination: Track enrolment forms and follow up on incomplete submissions to ensure all student records are up to date.

The Role

Since our inception, Contour has been growing - and growing fast - and one of the key elements that keeps our operations running smoothly is our billing, finances, and accounts systems! Now, we’re looking for someone that will take the lead on ensuring this vital cog in our engine continues to help us drive our growth. 

You’ll do more than just type numbers into spreadsheets; you’ll be the central point connecting our students and parents, our tutoring team, and our bookkeeping and operations. 

At Contour, our core values include always providing a friendly voice and enthusiastic support to our students and parents, who invest their time, money and effort into our services. When you reach out to a student or parent for an overdue invoice, you aren’t just asking them to pay - you’re building a personal relationship with them, and also maintaining their relationship with Contour!

So, your friendly and helpful interactions with students and parents - even when dealing with issues like billing and invoicing - will form a key part of upholding Contour’s values and standing out distinctly from our competition!

Comprehensive Training & Support

When you join, you'll be thoroughly onboarded with all our systems and processes. We have documentation from how to use our software and accounting systems, all the way to scripts you can use when following up on overdue invoices. We'll also help you upskill and refine your interpersonal abilities, where you'll become familiar with multiple mediums of communication (in-person, email, text, and call).

By the end of your training, the work will become very familiar and you'll have things like the billing schedules memorised in-and-out, and the process of sending or updating a student’s invoice at the back of your palm!

Active & Engaging Atmosphere

This isn't a regular ‘accounting' role where you'll deal with boring paperwork or giant spreadsheets. Instead, you’ll actively engage with team members in various departments - from sales staff to the bookkeeping team. 

Not to mention, you’ll also be talking to hundreds of our students and parents, and have the opportunity to provide them support and help make their Contour journey as smooth as possible during their final years at school. There is still administration work that needs to be done, of course, but you'll have fun doing it!

Key Responsibilities

• Managing Invoicing: Issuing invoices to students and parents, and approving invoices issued to students and parents;
• Updating Accounts: Ensuring student accounts and records are kept up to update on CRM and accounting software; 
• Overdue Invoices: Following up on unpaid/overdue invoices, including reaching out to students and parents via text, email, and phone calls to ensure timely payments; 
• Billing Queries: Addressing billing and invoicing related questions from students and parents via text, email, and phone;
• Trials and Unenrolments: Tracking and updating student free trialling weeks, and cross-verifying unenrolments on CRM and accounting software;
• Timely Accounting: Clearing backlogs and maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing at Contour. 

Expected Work Hours

• Weekdays (Monday to Friday) - 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Saturday - 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Sunday - 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Opportunity to Tutor Groups

Have you ever wanted to do group tutoring but never got the time or students to? Maybe you’ve been doing one-on-one tutoring so far, and now you want to explore group tutoring? As a VCE tutor at Contour, rather than tutoring one student at a time, you can now motivate groups of students with your knowledge and experience without the hassle of more admin work and finding students.

You’ve probably spent hundreds of unpaid hours making tutoring resources for your students. We know it can be an extremely time-consuming process, and arguably one of the more boring and tedious parts of being a tutor. But that’s where we come in! We’ve spent thousands of hours creating resources and detailed notes for VCE subjects. All we need now is you—the tutor!

All you have to do is prepare for your tutoring session by reading over the class workbooks beforehand, and provide an excellent tutoring experience to your students :)

Competitive Pay and Compensation

We pride ourselves on compensating and rewarding our tutors for their hard work. The starting rate ranges from $130 to $210 per 2-hour class (incl. Super) depending on the size of the classes you take. The rates can only get higher as you pick up more classes, show dedication to Contour, and contribute to the success of your students!

We're also introducing a new compensation model in 2024 where you'll also share part of the revenue generated by your classes. We want you to feel rewarded for introducing students to Contour and doing a great job at making them happy, so if Contour grows, you'll grow with it!

In some circumstances, if you already have private students but want to transfer them over to Contour, we can potentially even provide payouts so you can move all your tutoring work to us. Win-win!

Minimal Admin Work

There is almost no requirement for admin work.All you have to do is take simple attendance, manage student emails, and address student questions promptly outside of class via social media/text/email. If you’d like to create additional resources for us or do more non-tutoring work, we can also organise tailored payment plans to suit your needs :)

Support & Personal Development

The Role

Since our inception, Contour has been growing - and growing fast - and one of the key elements that keeps our operations running smoothly is our billing, finances, and accounts systems! Now, we’re looking for someone that will take the lead on ensuring this vital cog in our engine continues to help us drive our growth.

You’ll do more than just type numbers into spreadsheets; you’ll be the central point connecting our students and parents, our tutoring team, and our bookkeeping and operations.

When you reach out to a student or parent for an overdue invoice, you aren’t just asking them to pay - you’re building a personal relationship with them, and also maintaining their relationship with Contour!

So, your friendly and helpful interactions with students and parents - even when dealing with issues like billing and invoicing - will form a key part of upholding Contour’s values and standing out distinctly from our competition!

Comprehensive Training & Support

When you join, you'll be thoroughly onboarded with all our systems and processes. We have documentation from how to use our software and accounting systems, all the way to scripts you can use when following up on overdue invoices. We'll also help you upskill and refine your interpersonal abilities, where you'll become familiar with multiple mediums of communication (in-person, email, text, and call).

By the end of your training, the work will become very familiar and you'll have things like the billing schedules memorised in-and-out, and the process of sending or updating a student’s invoice at the back of your palm!

Active & Engaging Atmosphere

This isn't a regular ‘accounting' role where you'll deal with boring paperwork or giant spreadsheets. Instead, you’ll actively engage with team members in various departments - from sales staff to the bookkeeping team.

Not to mention, you’ll also be talking to hundreds of our students and parents, and have the opportunity to provide them support and help make their Contour journey as smooth as possible during their final years at school. There is still administration work that needs to be done, of course, but you'll have fun doing it!

Key Responsibilities

• Managing Invoicing: Issuing invoices to students and parents, and approving invoices issued to students and parents;
• Updating Accounts: Ensuring student accounts and records are kept up to update on CRM and accounting software;
• Overdue Invoices: Following up on unpaid/overdue invoices, including reaching out to students and parents via text, email, and phone calls to ensure timely payments;
• Billing Queries: Addressing billing and invoicing related questions from students and parents via text, email, and phone;
• Trials and Unenrolments: Tracking and updating student free trialling weeks, and cross-verifying unenrolments on CRM and accounting software;
• Timely Accounting: Clearing backlogs and maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing at Contour.

Expected Work Hours

• Weekdays (Monday to Friday) - 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Saturday - 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Sunday - 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

NOTE: There is an option to work part-time from the above hours (instead of all hours!). Flexible schedule options are available, just let us know!
