Your Role
You will assist in the investigation and resolution of internal and external customer complaints regarding retail and wholesale policies for Australia and New Zealand. As part of this role, you will assist with the reporting of incidents and breaches to ensure compliance in accordance with regulatory, industry, legal and company standards and requirement; as well as providing specialist complaints advice and ongoing maintenance and promotion of the Chubb risk and compliance framework for Australia and New Zealand.

Your Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyse and prepare determinations of complaints for Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) in Australia and New Zealand;
- Prepare External Dispute Resolution (EDR) responses for the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) and New Zealand’s Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL);
- Liaise with AFCA/FSCL where appropriate;
- Attend EDR Conciliation Conferences in order to reach negotiated settlements with customers/ their representatives;
- Refer IDR determinations to the Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) to assist in determining the outcome of both retail and wholesale disputes;
- Liaise with business units to coordinate and deliver effective handling of complaints;
- Adhere to timeframes contained within the General Insurance Code of Practice. the New Zealand Fair Insurance Code and ASIC RG 271;
- Maintain thorough and up to date records in respect of assigned complaints;
- Identify and draft ‘Learning Points’ in respect of issues, themes and trends arising from complaints for reporting purposes;
- Conduct root cause analysis of complaints in order to identify ways to minimize complaints;
- Identify any possible breaches of relevant legislation, regulations and obligations by the business
- Identify and report Compliance incidents and breaches;
- Identify and escalate complaints which may be a potential media or legal threat to Chubb;
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities set out in this position description, the employee shall carry out any other reasonable work-related requests made by the employer.

Your Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, accounting, business or similar is desired
- Knowledge of Financial Services regulatory compliance
- Complaints and dispute resolution experience and/or industry experience within banking, finance, insurance or superannuation (claims handling experience would be beneficial in understanding the process)

This is a permanent full-time role. Its purpose is to provide exceptional making, repairs and restoration services to violins, violas, cellos, double basses and bows at our Chatswood location. The ideal candidate would have industry experience and/or a qualification from one of the following schools:

• The Cremona International School of Violin Making
• The Chicago School of Violin Making
• The Mittenwald School of Violin Making
• The Markneukichnen School of Violin Making
• The North Bennet Street School, Boston
• The Newark School of Violin Making
• Cambridge Violin Makers

Role Duties:

• Quote for and complete repairs and restoration work on customers’ string instruments including:
o Gluing cracks and open seams
o Patching and repairing cracks using established methods
o ‘Touching Up’ varnish
o Replacing bridges, sound posts, nuts and fingerboards
• Complete specialised repairs and restoration work on stock instruments
• Liaise with suppliers as necessary to obtain parts needed to complete repairs and restoration work
• Perform ‘set ups’ on stock instruments including:
o Shaping, cutting, adjusting and fitting a bridge
o Shaping, cutting, adjusting and fitting a sound post
o Shaping, cutting, adjusting and fitting a fingerboard and fingerboard nut
o Shaping, cutting, adjusting and fitting pegs
• Perform key tasks in the manufacturing of new instruments, which in addition to the above ‘set up’ tasks include:
o Fitting purfling inlays
o Cutting and fitting bass bars
o Thicknessing the top and back plates
o Building ribs and fitting them to the top and back plates
o Cut and fit a neck, peg-box and scroll
• Repairs and restoration to bows including:
o Rehairing
o Re-lapping
o Repairing cracks
• Provide advice to customers about their existing instruments, which may be antique or recently made
• Co-ordinate with sales staff
• Organise and provide specialised training to junior team members
• Maintain a safe and tidy workspace

This is a salaried position of between $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 depending on experience

IPS Australia is the largest independent service provider for rotating equipment in Australia.
Our workshops are based in Somersby NSW, & Kwinana Beach WA, and our business is to maintain and provide spare parts for rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, pumps, compressors and blowers, gearboxes, as well as reciprocating compressors.
IPS Australia is currently looking for a qualified Field Service Engineer to carry out field service activities specialising in reciprocating compressors of various manufacturers.
The successful candidate will have an engineering degree, at least 3 years experience with the specific maintenance and repair procedures for reciprocating equipment, and available to work on our client sites in Australia, New Zealand, PNG, Pacific Islands.
Your role main responsibilities will include:
• Carry out field service activities on reciprocating compressors of various manufacturers
• Strip, inspect, repair, rebuild, commission machinery including reporting and recommendations
• Supervise a team of mechanical fitter or work autonomously
• Machinery to work on: reciprocating compressor, diesel or gas engines (not as mandatory, but preferred), integral recip compressor-Gas engine (not as mandatory, but preferred), familiar with condition monitoring (preferred)
• Support the operation of the service activities with technical expertise
• Assist the operation of the workshop as required including hands on activity during field service down time.
• Assist sales activities for both workshop and field services in conjunction with IPS Business Development Managers. Including customer visits, if required
• Provide technical customer support to clients
• Develop detailed scope of works to assist in sales and contract execution.
• Development of specific quality documentation (ITP’s, IRS, Work Procedures) for service activities in conjunction with Operation Manager

This is predominately a Field Service position. Ability to travel to field locations within Australia is required. The applicant will be able to work on his own or part of a team according to OHS& E standard. The Field Service Engineer is the Supervisor on site and manages the team as well as being the main point of contact for our client.
To be considered you will:
• Have a Master/Bachelor degree or a certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering
• Be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident
• Have 5+ years rotating equipment experience
• Be based in NSW, WA or willing to relocate to our workshop locations
• Have experience in project management (favourable but not essential)
• Have a professional accreditation such as CPEng, NER, RPEng, RPEQ (favourable but not essential)
