Olive Grove Aged Care provides individuals with personalised care and attention in all areas of their life. They are seeking Registered Nurses to join their team in Salisbury, SA.
The Role
This is for a full-time basis with an annual salary set between $73,500 to $80,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
Medication administration, checking medication stocks and ordering them from pharmacy.
Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.
Recording resident vital signs and medical information.
Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
Monitoring, reporting and recording symptoms or chances in resident conditions.
Administering non-intravenous medications.
Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating resident nursing care plans by working with health care team members
Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses.
Perform leadership role and supervise PCA practice
Providing evidence-based care, developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice.
Applying wound dressings as per wound management regime
Collecting specimen as needed and contracting laboratories to pick up
Assessing and evaluating individual residents physical and mental conditions, working with individuals and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately, reporting to Clinical Nurse, Doctors and Site Manager
Ongoing communication with the care receipt’s representative to update clinical care and concerns
Facilitating medical appointments for care recipients.
Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships within all members of the health care team.
Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents, self and other staff
Requirements
In order to be shortlisted for this position, the right candidate needs to have:
A Bachelor degree in Nursing
Minimum of 1 year experience as registered nurse in a professional clinical setting
Minimum of 1 year relevant nursing experience in aged care
Current AHPRA registration.
Committed to aged care documentation and Case Management.
Reliable and able to maintain a safe and high standard of practice.
Good time management and ability to lead a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Competent medication management.
Must have the right to work in Australia.
Undergo and maintain a current National Police Check and have no convictions that exclude you from working in aged care as per the Aged Care Act 1997.
Comply with NDIS Worker Screening Requirements under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Worker Screening – Practice Standard) Rules 2018.
