Sodexo is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Injury Management Coordinator to join our team in a permanent position.   Reporting to our General Manager, Workers Compensation, and Injury Management.  This role is Monday to Friday 38hrs per week. The role is based in our Perth Support Centre in Balcatta. 

This is a general scope of duties for the position of Injury Management Coordinator:

  • Support the operational team and employees to ensure injury management, fitness for work procedures are efficiently implemented to reduce the impact of work and non-work-related injuries and illness.
  • Effectively set expectations and educate internal stakeholders on legislative and internal injury and claims management obligations
  • Liaise with injured workers, insurers, legal and health professionals for purpose of claims and injury management
  • Working collaboratively with the Insurer case managers to achieve desired RTW outcomes and resolution of claims, ensuring responsible financial claims management of workers compensation portfolio
  • Plan, develop and implement pro-active injury management and rehabilitation strategies for injured workers
  • Ensure set timeframes and compliance measures are adhered to with all legislative codes, company and client driven policies and procedures
  • Coordinate clinical intervention and recommendations, attend case conferences to achieve desired RTW outcomes
  • Lead and participate in sessions with stakeholders through case conferencing, claims reviews and onsite visits 
  • Accurately complete administrative tasks associated with injury management, fitness for work and workers compensation including file notes, RTW plans, lodgement of claims, maintenance of documentation on injury management system
  • Coordinate receipt of claims and ensure timely completion of claim forms for registration with insurance providers or claims agents
  • Develop and timely provision of timely claims reports, as required
  • Calculate, authorise and process weekly compensation payments and ensure timely reimbursements from insurer
  • Other duties as required.
