Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Hairdresser to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional hairdressing services to clients, including cutting, coloring, styling, and offering expert advice on hair care and treatments. The Hairdresser will play a critical role in enhancing the client’s salon experience by delivering high-quality services tailored to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to determine their preferences and needs in terms of hairstyles, haircuts, and hair color.
Provide hair cutting, coloring, and styling services, including specialized treatments such as keratin, blowouts, and perms.
Stay up to date with the latest hairdressing trends, techniques, and products to ensure the highest standard of service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation and ensure all tools and equipment comply with health and safety regulations.
Recommend appropriate hair care products and routines to clients based on individual needs and preferences.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and responding to client feedback or concerns promptly and professionally.
Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a welcoming, professional salon environment.
Manage appointment bookings and maintain accurate client records, including service history and preferences.
Uphold salon standards and contribute to business development by promoting salon services and products.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum AQF Certificate III in Hairdressing, Barbering, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a hairdresser, barber, or in a related field, with demonstrated expertise in cutting, coloring, and styling hair.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to listen to and meet clients' needs.
Creativity and a keen eye for detail, ensuring precision in all hairdressing services.
Knowledge of current hair trends, techniques, and industry practices.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple client appointments throughout the day.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to hairdressing.
